Introduction
This document describes how to install Excel API. You should already install Microsoft Office. If not, please turn to your IT staff to install Microsoft Office first.
Download Excel API latest version
1. Download latest Excel API package from Latest Download (For Excel 2007/2010/2013 32bits and above)
2. Save the package into local.
3. Extract the package into local.
4. Run install bat file under extract folder.
Load Excel Add-in
Open an Excel file first. For Excel 2007/2010/2013 32bits users:
1. Save and extract install package to a folder in your local PC.
2. Copy extracted files into "%appdata%\Microsoft\AddIns" folder. Specifically, open "My Computer", and type %appdata%\Microsoft\AddIns in address bar, then the target folder appears.
3. Go to "Microsoft Office Button-> Excel Options-> Add-Ins", choose Morningstar Add-In and click OK to load Morningstar Add-In.

4. Find Register.bat in "%appdata%\Microsoft\AddIns" folder, right click Register.bat and select Run as administrator

5. Open Excel, you should see the "M*Direct" Add-in tab
Disable/Remove Morningstar Add-In
If you do not need Morningstar Add-In any more, go to Add-In Option, uncheck the Morningstar Add-In, and then click OK.
Find UnRegister.bat in "%appdata%\Microsoft\AddIns" folder, right click UnRegister.bat and select "Run as administrator".
