1. Branches

[pic]

Used if a company has more than one office, it allows the user to define the branch details with a code and name.

The location is selected via the ellipsis button and then selected from the tariff points.

The nominal code is relevant when interfacing to certain accounts system.

The Group is optional but can be selected via the drop down menu.

2. Branch Groups

Allows the user to define Branch Groups for selection in the Branch Details.

3. Consol Points

Relevant to general haulage/groupage or consolidation and deconsolidation points. This is a depot defined by the user and then linked to a town in the Tariff Points.

4. Container Depots

TOPS is delivered with a substantial number of known container depots but new depots must be added through static as follows:

Insert 3 Character Code and the depot name and find the exact location by clicking on the ellipsis button and if the location is not already there, add new through the postcoder.

Ticking “Export to Excel for Tariff Grid” does exactly this when certain functions in TOPS for exporting/importing tariffs for autorating are used.

5. Countries

List of countries with their letter and number codes.

6. Geo Zones

Allows the user to group certain towns within an area (e.g. North East). Can then be used in the traffic sheet either on the filter or by adding a column.

7. Location Types

This is optional and can be used to identify types of locations (e.g. Warehouse, Importer/Exporter, Freight Forwarder etc). Useful for marketing reports at a later date.

8. Location Groups

New Functionality – not currently in use.

9. Ports

TOPS is delivered with a substantial number of known UK Ports but new Ports must be added through static as follows:

Insert 3 Character Code and Port Name and find the exact location by clicking on the ellipsis button and if the location is not already there, add new through the postcoder.

Ticking “Export to Excel for Tariff Grid” does exactly this when certain functions in TOPS for exporting/importing tariffs for autorating are used.

10. Routes

Allows route description to be set up in the Intermodal planning area. This is set in the Fleet > Intermodal > Transport Plans when the user is building a new route plan.
