Do I Have Smart View?Run ExcelYou have Smart View if the right-most tab is Smart ViewI Don’t Have a Smart View TabEnable Smart ViewSmart View may be installed but not enabled.To enable Smart View:Open Excel.File > OptionsIn the Excel Options pop-up, click on Add-Ins.Select Disabled Items on the Manage drop-down.Click Go.If Smart View is disabled, it will appear on the Disabled Items panel.Click on Smart View in the Disabled Items panel.Click on Enable.Go back to File > Options > Add-InsSelect Com Add-Ins in the Manage drop-down list.Select Go.In the COM Add-Ins pop-up, select Oracle Hyperion Smart View for Office, Fusion Edition.Click OK.Close Excel.Reopen Excel. The Smart View tab should now be displayed. Installing Smart ViewIf Smart View is not disabled and you don’t see the Smart View tab, you will need to install it. To install Smart View for Office:Download the Smart View client by clicking on the following link: SmartView.exe. or navigate to the following URL: the File Download pop-up, click Save.Navigate to the target destination and save the file.Locate and double-click the downloaded file SmartView.exe.In the Choose Setup Language window select English.Click OK.In the wizard Welcome step, click the Next button.In the wizard Destination Folder step, leave the destination folder set to the default location.Click OK.In the wizard Ready to Install the Program step, click Install.In the wizard InstallShield Wizard Completed step, click Finish.Smart View for Office is now installed. To enable Smart View (if necessary), please refer to the previous section Enabling Smart View.Setting Up the Shared ConnectionIn Excel, select Smart View.In the Smart View ribbon, select Options.Select Advanced in the Options menu.In the Shared Connections URL text box, enter the following case sensitive URL: OK.Setting Up the Private ConnectionsCreate UMHSCons_TrialBalIn Excel, click the Smart View tab. Click Panel in the Smart View ribbon.Select Shared Connections on the Smart View panel.Select Oracle ? Essbase from the dropdown.Expand the EssbaseCluster-1 node. This is the Production connection.Enter your Level 1 credentials in the Connect to Data Source pop-up and click Connect.Expand “UMHSCons”. Expand “TrialBal”. Right-click on TrialBal and select Add to Private Connections.Name the connection UMHSCons_TrialBal.Right click the new connection UMHSCons_TrialBal.Select Set alias table.Select Default in the Set alias table pop-up.Running the Reports in Smart ViewSelect the Smart View tab in Excel.Select Panel on the Smart View ribbon.Click on Shared Connections in the Smart View Panel.Enter you Level 1 credentials in the Connect to Data Source pop-up and click Connect.Select Reporting and Analysis Framework in the dropdown list in the Smart View panel.Expand the root node.Expand UMHS Financial Reports and navigate to the report in the Financial Reports folder.Double click a report to launch it.Select the Preview POV settings in the Import Workspace Document wizard and Click OK.Click Finish on the wizard. The report is now displayed in Excel.Set a Print RangeOn the worksheet select the cells that you want to define as the print area.On the Page Layout tab, in the Page Setup ribbon, click Print Area, and then click Set Print Area.Note: The print area that you set is saved when you save the workbook.The Smart View TemplatesDownload the Smart View Templates:Go to the Workspace at your Level 1 credentials.Click the Explore link on the top tool bar.Double click UMHS Finance Workspace and then SmartView Templates for UMHSCons.Double click the template.Click Save and download the template to your destination location.Note: Do NOT open the template in the Workspace. This can cause network related errors.Running the Smart View TemplatesOpen the template in Excel. Select the Smart View tab.Review the POV values and set accordingly.Click Refresh.Workspace ReportsGo to your Level 1 credentials.Click the Explore link on the top tool bar.Double click UMHS Financial ReportsThe reports are located in the Financial Reports folder.Double click an item to launch.Review the POV member selections to ensure you are retrieving the data you want and click OK.PrintingClick the Open in PDF icon on the toolbar.Click the printer icon on the PDF toolbar. ................
