Purpose: To illustrate some uses of Constant Data Forms for cataloging e-monographs & e-IRs

What Needs to be Added to Your Connexion Files

1. E-Resources.mbk

2. The forms from constdatER.bibcd.db

Strategies for using CONSTANT DATA forms:

A. Create an original-cataloged bib record

1. Ctrl-alt-shift-g: Retrieve macro window

2. Select the template: IntegRes (online integrating resource); MonoHTML (online HTML monograph); MonoPDF (online PDF monograph)

3. Alt-r: run the macro

B. Use constant data as a cue sheet

1. Ctrl-ℓ + highlight + : Call up list of Constant Data Forms

2. Shift-F4 (to pin constant data) [optional]

3. Alt-w, t (to tile vertically)

C. Extract metadata & compare constant data to result

1. Ctrl-ℓ + highlight + : Call up list of Constant Data Forms

2. Shift-F4 (to pin constant data) [optional]

3. From menu: Cataloging—Create/extract metadata

4. Alt-w, t (to tile vertically)
