Read the back of this sheet to determine which one best describes YOUR PHOTO!My grade_____Mr. Mussari’s Grade _____/50WHY?Portrait and Landscape: What is an A?An “A” Portrait has excellent composition- the face is well lit and recognizable. If a background is present, it contributes to the photo and says something about the subject. An “A” Landscape is taken outside and has a strong foreground, middle ground and background- giving a sense of DEPTH.There is no dust, scratches, or chemical stains. The photo has excellent exposure and an appropriate level of contrast. The subject is in perfect focus.A “B” Portrait has good composition- the face is well lit and recognizable, but is in the direct center of the photo. If a background is present, it contributes to the photo and says something about the subject. A “B” Landscape is taken outside and has a foreground, middle ground and background- giving a sense of DEPTH.There are few dust specks, scratches or chemical stains. The photo has good exposure and contrast, but one could be improved (it is a little too light or dark). The subject is slightly out of focus.A “C” Portrait has fair composition- the face is in shadow and in the center of the photo. If a background is present, it distracts from the subject. A “C” Landscape is taken outside but does not have a clear foreground, middle ground and background. It lacks DEPTH.There is distracting dust, scratches or chemical stains. The exposure and contrast are clearly off- it is obviously too light or too dark. The subject is out of focus. A “D” Portrait has poor composition- the face is in shadow and the subject is so far from the camera, he or she is not recognizable. The background takes up most of the photo and it distracts from the subject. A “D” Landscape is taken outside but completely lacks DEPTH.There is distracting dust, scratches or chemical stains. The exposure and contrast are clearly off- it is so light or dark that the subject blends into the background. The subject is totally out of focus. An “F” photograph was not handed in.
