November 4-H Updates

Online Re-Enrollment in 4-H: This year the re-enrollment process is to be completed all online again. Extension Staff is available to help you re-enroll online if you have questions about the process. If you need extra help, plan to make an appointment with Extension Staff to re-enroll. The online reenrollment process and the $15 enrollment fee per youth are BOTH due by Friday, November 15th, 2013. If you do not complete both parts of the enrollment process by November 15th, there will be a $25 late fee per family. Please go to ember-info to find the re-enrollment help sheet. If you have questions, call the Extension Office during office hours ? Monday ? Friday 8:00am4:30pm or e-mail sarahjo@iastate.edu.

4-H Re-Enrollment: 1- Complete online enrollment information through your family account. 2- Make sure your enrollment status says "pending." If it says "incomplete" you need to go back through and make sure you completed the correct fields. 3- Bring your $15 Enrollment Fee to the Extension Office.(make checks payable to, "Greene County Extension") 4- Extension Staff will change your status to "active" when you complete the online enrollment process. 5- Members need to complete the online enrollment AND the enrollment fee payment by Friday, November 15th. A late of $25.00 per family will be in place after November 15th.

New Member Enrollment in 4-H: All new members need to enroll with Sarah Jo. If you know of any new members or have a new member in your family joining 4-H, please make an appointment with Sarah Jo.

2013-2014 Enrollment Fees: For the past several years, four local donors have given generously to the Greene County 4-H program. Instead of the regular $35 annual enrollment fee, Greene County 4-H'ers have paid less than half that amount. The 2013-2014 4-H enrollment cost for Greene County 4-H'ers will be $15 per member.

Please tell the donors how much you gained from 4-H in the last year and what you are looking forward to this coming year! Consider taking time at your next club meeting to write thank you notes as a group.

Financial Assistance Available: The Iowa 4-H Foundation and the Greene County 4-H Foundation both provide funds for youth that may need financial assistance to participate in the 4-H program. Families who may need help paying enrollment fees or participating in a camp or trip are eligible, especially if they meet certain eligibility, like free or reduced lunches. If you are interested in learning more, please contact the Greene County Extension Office at 515-386-2138.
