Key accountabilities/primary responsibilities% TimeTo contribute to the day to day technical operation of the work environment as part of a team within the Clinical Research Facility labs. This can involve:Carrying out testing and maintenance of equipment.Monitoring finances and advising on stock requirements of equipment and goods.Maintaining a safe working environment in accordance with health and safety procedures.30 %To receive and process samples for the ENACT study, reporting any discrepancies to the senior technical staff in the Clinical Research Facility. To organise and carry out processing requirements and storage of samples using specialist equipment and techniques, ensuring the requirements of the project are met and advising on any resource requirements.40 %To make accurate and effective use of computerised and manual record keeping systems in order to analyse test results and compile information and create reports. Specifically using validated databases such as Freezerworks or new databases in test phases with the support of senior staff.10 %To perform basic maintenance and liaise with service engineers for designated laboratory equipment.
