CAPTAIN KATE

Captain Kate McCue took command of Celebrity Equinox in April 2018. As Captain, she is responsible for the safe navigation of the ship and the onboard experience of its guests and crew members. Prior to joining Celebrity Equinox, Captain McCue was at the helm of Celebrity Summit, making her the first American female to take command of a mega-ton cruise ship.

A graduate of California State University's California Maritime Academy, Captain McCue has held a variety of roles in the maritime industry, beginning as a cadet and deck officer, then working through a series o f successively more responsible positions to her most recent role as Master Mariner with Royal Caribbean International. Captain McCue h as earned numerous certifications in a variety of areas pertaining to leadership navigation, ship management and security.

CELEBRITY REVOLUTION

Celebrity Cruises aims to set a new industry standard with the unveiling of the brand's new initiative ? the Celebrity Revolution ? a complete modernization of its current fleet, beginning in 2019.

Fleet-wide enhancements will vary by ship, but will include a sleek, modern revitalized stateroom redesign, with additional staterooms and suites being added to some ships; technology enhancements; new culinary concepts; refreshed public spaces and dining venues; and a sweeter suite-class experience.
