HALLORAN MEMORIAL Scholarship Fund – 2 awards of $2,000.00 each (not renewable)Established in 2006 through the Mary P. Dolciani Halloran Foundation, this scholarship is awarded each year to promising Sequim High School seniors going onto college who are in financial need.RequirementsFinancial needFull-time enrollmentJANE Q. MILLER and GERTRUDE GREENSIDE Scholarship – 2 awards of $2,000.00 each (may be renewable up to 3 years)Jane Miller had many strong connections in the Sequim area and was known for helping and assisting anyone in need. Ms. Miller was also active in the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Olympic Peninsula and enjoyed hosting Rotary International foreign exchange students. She was passionate about education and chose to leave a legacy of inspiring kids to continue on with their education. The scholarship also includes the name of her dear friend, Gertrude Greenside.The scholarship may be renewed for 1 year for students attending a 2 year vocational or community college and up to 3 years for those attending a 4 year college or university. Students must show continued enrollment and a transcript showing a GPA of 2.5 or higher for renewal.RequirementsFinancial needFull-time enrollment2.5+ Cumulative unweighted GPAJUNE ROBINSON Scholarship in JOURNALISM or HISTORY – 1 award of $2,500.00 (may be renewable for up to 3 years)June Robinson was a teacher and an historian. She was very active in the Sequim community, serving on the School Board for nine years, volunteering with Sequim Education Foundation, and the Clallam County Historical Society. She also wrote a history column for the local newspaper. Mrs. Robinson's love for history took her back to the National Archives each year to volunteer, even into her 80s. Her desire was to recognize and help students become interested in history and/or journalism while also providing financial assistance.The scholarship may be renewed for up to 3 years. Students must show continued full time enrollment, progression towards a degree in journalism or history, and a transcript showing a GPA of 3.0 or higher for renewal.RequirementsMajor in Journalism or HistoryFull-time enrollmentRAY and JUNE ROBINSON Scholarship in STEM - 1 award of $2,500.00 (may be renewable for up to 3 years)Having spent time in the Navy and Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), Ray Robinson valued education and more specifically, mathematics and science. Mr. Robinson continued to be a dedicated scholar even after his retirement. His desire was to support students based on their interests and not specifically on their GPAs.The scholarship may be renewed for up to 3 years. Students must show continued full time enrollment, progression towards a degree in STEM, and a transcript showing a GPA of 3.0 or higher for renewal.Requirements3.0+ Cumulative unweighted GPASTEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) focus/career pathFull-time enrollmentWOODWARD P.
