1992 COMMENTS:
The last 30 years: Attended Concord Hospital School of Nursing for 1 year
(wanted to party). Hung around Concord for another working and then went
to Colorado Springs (had my first child) for six months then to California
(LA area). A year later became a single parent and worked in the data
processing field. Thirteen years later moved back to Concord (culture
shock), daughter attended and completed high school at Concord High
School. She decided to attend college in the DC area (University of
Maryland) so moved to Arlington, VA for 5 years and then was working for
VISA, USA, as a computer operator and low and behold I was able to transfer
to California - Dorinda had graduated from college and it was time for mother
to be out on her own. So here I am in the beautiful Bay Area (San Francisco)
still single, vegetarian, part-time massage therapist, discovering some of
life's answers (hope they don't change the questions) and enjoying the
journey. Please, if any of you find yourself in this area,
PLEASE LOOK ME UP, I love to show people around.

Hello to all my classmates!
After graduating from Boston University School of Nursing in 1966, I worked
at New England Medical Center in Boston. I married Dick Parkinson and we
lived in the Boston area until he completed active duty with the U.S. Navy.
We have lived in Concord ever since.
During my career as a nurse, I also worked as adjunct nursing faculty at NHTI
in Concord. I went to UNH Graduate School and completed a M.S. in Nursing.
We are grateful for a wonderful family. Jennifer graduated from UNH and
also became a nurse. Chris is a financial advisor. Patrick graduated from Fordham University and is a social worker for DCYF in NH. Our grandsons
are great kids and doing well.
I have taken several community ed. classes. I developed an interest in
genealogy and have been researching my family history.
My husband has retired and is an avid golfer. We enjoy spending time with
our family and friends. Have done some traveling and hope to do more.
I look forward to seeing you in August!
Regards to all.

2012 COMMENTS:
Where has the time gone. It has certainly been a busy time for me. I
still love to travel and in Sept of 2011, went on a 10 day walking tour
of the North Yorkshire Moors. Our 1-week stay was in a country house
hotel in Whitby, England. I walked 2 coastal trails and 2 inland trails
and spent a day in Whitby itself. Whitby was the home of Bram Stoker,
where he wrote his classic Dracula. Only spent a day and half in London,
but I had the chance to connect with friends and a wonderful day.
Now that I am semi-retired, I spend alot of time volunteering. I am on 3
boards, one as VP, sing in church choir and with the Suncook Valley Chorale.
I am a member of OLLI(Osher for Life Long Learning} for 50+ and take classes
in the spring and fall semesters. Am on the travel committee and also trip
coordinator. I will be starting to volunteer with Upreach Therapeutic Center
at the end of July, working with disabled children/adults in their riding
experience.
I am glad to get back into being with horses. My two horses have long since
passed away and I am glad to be back at it. At the ripe old age of 68, I am
in the process of buying my own home.
I look forward to the reunion in August and seeing all our classmates.
For those of you who can't make it, am sorry I won't get to visit with you.
2002 COMMENTS:
It doesn't seem possible that ten years have passed since our last
reunion. My years certainly have been busy. I am still working
full time at the same nursing home facility in Manchester as Medical
Records Director and am divorced and living back in Concord.
I've traveled many times to England / Scotland, London being one of
my favorite places. In November 1995, March 1996 and November 1996,
I assisted taking group tours to London and in June 1996 I escorted
my own tour for two weeks to England / Scotland. In April of 2000,
I went to Ireland for two weeks with a group of Scottish Country
Dancers. I have been doing Scottish Country Dancing for the last
10 years. In 1997, I had the opportunity to cross the English
Channel to spend 3 days in Bruges, Belgium.
I am a member of Concord Community Concerts and am on the Board of
Directors as VP and Membership Secretary. I have also been involved
with theatre, where I've done Gilbert & Sullivan and for the last
nine years I have been with a group from Epsom doing variety shows
every October. Last July, I joined the Concord Community Players
Road Show Troupe.
I am looking forward to seeing all of you at the reunion.
1992 COMMENTS:
I am still at the same nursing home and have been there 17 years;
8 1/2 as a nurse and the last 8 1/2 as a secretary. In July and
August 1991, the company changed over to a new computer system and
sent us for training to another facility. I have also had classes
in work perfect. I am still doing a lot of traveling. In 1990 I
went to England and Scotland for 2 weeks. The main reason to attend
a family reunion in Scotland, castle ruins and all. In April 1991
went by Amtrak to Virginia to visit friends and spend a day in D.C.
July 1991, my sister and I spent a week in London. March '92 spent
2 1/2 weeks in Northern California, San Francisco, Napa Valley,
Yosemite, Carmel and Monterey. I hope to get back to Scotland in
September. I would like to say hello to all the classmates who are
unable to attend our 30th.

I spent two years working in the Ship’s office.
After finishing my two-year active duty obligation, I went to Cambridge
School of Business on the GI bill. I took summer classes at Boston
University and finished my BSBA at NH Collage. I married my sweetheart
Judy in 1967 and took a job with New England Telephone in 1969 as Assistant
Manager of the Claremont, NH business office. I was then promoted to Sales-
Manager-Business Systems in Manchester, NH and retired in 1994 as Director
of Public/Community relations.

2012 COMMENTS:
My plan was to spend my retirement years doing art and I have to some
extent: I've had a solo show; participated in a number of group shows
with the Women's Caucus for Art; did some commissioned pieces, sold some
pieces privately; and was published in an international magazine.
But one thing leads to another and eventually I was pulled into more and
more volunteer work. I am co-chair of a non-profit organization, EngAGING
NH a citizen voice for the aging experience. Our goal is to link older
adults, share information and perspectives, and engage in public policy
development. We partner with the State Committee on Aging each year to
honor older adults volunteers. I'm also on the Merrimack County Area
Committee on Aging which has similar goals but on a local level.
I have been fortunate over the years to have traveled around the world,
first as a Peace Corps Volunteer, then as a vacationer and most recently
to Istanbul to attend a conference of EMF Practitioners and Teachers.

2012 COMMENTS:
50 years is a lot to summarize in a few paragraphs!!!
After CHS I graduated from UNH in 1966 with a degree in History. Brenda
(Woodfin) Thomas was my “roomie” for all 4 years and remains a very close
friend. I followed UNH with a one-year program at Katharine Gibbs in Boston,
thinking to ensure entry into the work force, which I then did.
Two years later I decided to move West and headed to Colorado in 1969 with a
friend and continued my work career as an administrative assistant with IBM,
holding similar jobs over the years as we moved around until I finished my
career in human resources with our family business here in Concord.
Fifteen years in Colorado brought marriage to my husband, Ed (now 40 years)
and two grown sons, Tyler and Grant, who also are involved in the family
business. I have two beautiful daughters-in-law, an active two-year-old grandson, and new granddaughter born in May of this year.
Ed and I have lived on the Seacoast in New Castle for the past nine years and
love spending the summer months at our Bow Lake cottage.

My free time seems to get taken over by my eBay auto parts sales business!
Looking forward to seeing everyone at our 50th reunion!

Where have the past 5 years gone? Looking forward to seeing everyone!
We sold our Solid Waste Company 4 years ago and I "semi-retired" for 2
years doing part-time consulting work for regional and State wide recycling
associations. In 1988, I became purchasing manager for the National Life
Insurance Company, Vermont's second largest business firm. Martha and I
celebrated our 25th year together last September. We spend our winter
vacations in Aruba and enjoy our summer home at Caspian Lake. Still have
several antique cars and will try to bring my 1961 Ford convert to our

First, let me say that I am sorry that I am unable to make this 40th reunion.
I would much prefer to share my last 40 years with you personally but because
of prior commitments, this is not possible.
So let me start with where I am now. I am retired with my husband and living
in The Villages in Lady Lake, FL. I play lots of golf and still have my love
for painting.
My husband retired from AT&T in 1998. He also plays golf, does woodworking
and has learned to play the guitar.
We have been married for thirty eight years and have a great life. It just
doesn't get any better than this.
We have three children. They are all married and living in NJ & FL.
Our oldest, Kimberly, lives in Key Largo, FL. She works for the City
of Tamarac as Director of Special Projects working with the city manager.
Next is Tracy. Tracy lives in Middletown, NJ. She has two children,
Caitlin and Alex. Tracy is currently a Professor at Rutgers University
teaching all phases of Nursing. Our son, Eric, lives in Kinnalon, NJ.
He currently works as a regional drug representative for Bristol Meyers

Since our last reunion a few things have changed. The company that Dianne

2012 COMMENTS:
We have lived in Stowe, Vt., “Ski Capital of the East” for most of our married life. I was business manager for Verizon in Montpelier and
Burlington VT. Ted was Vice President and director of engineering for WCAX-TV in Burlington.
We spend our summers sailing on Lake Champlain and our winters X-country skiing at Trapp family Lodge and when the winters got too cold or long we
would charter a sail boat in the Islands (Caribbean).
We decided to sell our sailboat in VT and buy a 50’ Beneteau sailboat in
St. Lucia so we could sail the islands to our content.
We loved to travel and travel we did – England, Scotland, Italy, France, Germany, Austria, Sweden, Denmark, Norway – our favorite was a barge trip
in France and our land and cruise of Alaska.
In 2007 we decided to sell our sail boat in St. Lucia and buy a house in
the Sarasota/Bradenton area of Florida. Sailing is hard work and we wanted
to take it a little easy.
Ted died November 12, 2009 – I still go between houses in VT and FL.
Where have the last 50 years gone? I have enjoyed them all – looking forward
to seeing everyone in August 2012.
1992 COMMENTS:
Sorry we won't be able to attend, we leave Stowe on July 11th for a cruise in
the Baltic. We will be in Stockholm, Sweden on July 18th.
Hope you all have a wonderful time. Maybe we'll see you at the 35th.

2012 COMMENTS:
I still have just one dog, but firmly believe that life is better when you
live with AT LEAST one! After 2-1/2 years of living full-time back in NH,
I decided it was time to spend more time with my son in FL. We both have RVs
in a very socially active RV community. My coach is just 2 doors down from
his on a lot with great old shade trees and large back yards where our 2
Dachshunds like to play. I hope to split my time in future summers between
NH and WA. This year, I’m afraid, I’ll miss our BIG 50th while I’m in WA for
the entire month of August visiting my step-daughter's family. I was looking
forward to seeing many old classmates, but, fortunately, I did get to see a
lot of folks while in NH recently. Have a great time at the reunion!
2010 COMMENTS:
I only have one now, but I still believe that life is better with dogs! I
have retired once again, this time possibly for good. In October 2009, I
moved back to NH (from Georgia) and now live with my twice-widowed mother
in Bow. I spend most of my time hiking with my dog, traveling to visit my
children and friends, reading, watching movies, writing, computing, designing
beaded jewelry, sewing, being a companion to my mom, and planning my next
trip. I am just getting involved with the Conservation Center and am
investigating what role I could serve in the Second Start program in the
Concord area. I am still silly and hope to remain that way for the rest of
my life! The Class Clown of 1962 Lives!
2002 COMMENTS:
Life is better with dogs! I have 3 Labs and 2 Miniature Dachshunds. If
only I could figure out a way to make money from their dirt! Since retiring
early, I spend most of my time "creating a life!" I design and make beaded
jewelry, beaded leather pouches, appliqued Christmas stockings, costumes,
and ritual clothing. Occasionally, I even manage to do some mapping (my
former profession).
I spend a lot of time caring for our animals, and frequently find myself
sitting with an elderly friend in a hospital or nursing home. I host a
never-ending "stream" of friends and family visiting Atlanta, which includes
acting as Tour Guide to the area's many attractions. At times, it feels
more like a Bed & Breakfast here than a house!
My latest projects include creating digital albums of family pictures and
movies. In the cooler months, I also enjoy luxury camping (meaning a HUGE
tent with lots of STUFF to make being outdoors more comfortable). For
relaxation, I read, watch movies, or soak in the hot tub. Walking and
free weights are my preferred exercise. I would love swimming, but our
yard has too many trees for a pool and I won't take any of them down.
Shade is IMPORTANT in the South!

Annette (1965) - daughter
Blane (1980) - grandson
Bryce (2005) - great grandson
2012 COMMENTS:
I have always thought of life like a book,
and there is the good, the bad and the ugly sentences, paragraphs and chapters, which
make for good reading or to represent life
as I choose.
After graduation from CHS I went to Plymouth State College, then onto to airline school, then marriage. We had a beautiful daughter Annette who has grown to be a dynamic woman
and is Director of Environment Health and
Safety at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
in Troy, NY. She has lived abroad, and then a dozen or so years in Fairbanks, Alaska before joining the Rensselaer team a year ago. Annette
is married to Blane, has a son LB and the love of all our lives a grandson, Bryce.
I remarried in 1972 and Annette and I joined Peter in Montreal where he lived
and owned a business. Happy years with Peter, Annette and I becoming avid
boaters and we bought our first sailboat a Tanzer 22. We lived our summers
at the yacht club on the boat and Annette taking sailing lessons.
Peter wanted me to be a stay at home Mom, this was hard as I had worked two
jobs for a long time. I found lots to do after a fashion, was Brown Owl to
67 Brownies and 90% of them spoke no English, oh dear that was a learning
curve!
Back to teaching which I had hated so much, this time in a college setting
and I loved it. I also went back to college and got an art degree.
The political situation began to heat up again in Quebec so like many of
our friends we decided to jump ship and move, but where…well after a quick
trip to see Canada we decided on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. What
a culture shock, the streets were rolled up at 8:30 and we who were so
accustomed to fine dining, live theater and much more. We had our boat
shipped to the island but found it too small for the ocean, so we traded
and bought a 30 foot boat that was a great racer and we spent many hours
cruising the coast on Jamelah. We are getting ready to sell her…
When I was forty my Mom passed away and I had spent several months with her
in northern NH. She was in a hospital and I found my passion in life. When
I returned to BC I tried to enroll at UBC to become an Occupational Therapist, there was at least a two year wait to get into a class and then four more years, which was going to make me old for entering that work force.
I found a diluted position in health care and literally nurtured a job that was to become my life’s work.
For the next fifteen years I became Director of a Hospital, specialized in
Dementia, consultant and taught college at night, chaired many Boards, became
the “go to” person for dementia in British Columbia, wrote part of a text
book on dementia for UCLA and designed dementia gardens here on the island.
I worked most times 80 hours a week, and loved every minute of it. Peter was
an incredible support. He and I took a group of 18 to Hawaii for 18 days,
these were all hospital bound residents and five were in wheel chairs, we
laughed so hard and it was incredible to see 90 year olds travel who had
never been anywhere. These are memories that will last me a life time.
Peter and I have both been Commodores of Maple Bay Yacht Club where we live.
When I was Commodore I took the salute for Opening Day on HMSC Oriole a
Canadian Tall ship. When the Sail past was finished the Commander asked if
I would like to go for a sail, I answered in the affirmative and the sails
were raised, then he asked if I would like to take the helm of this beautiful
125 foot tall ship, one of the super chapters of my life.
I was seconded to Health Canada for two years for a special project to put
on an international conference for Caregivers, I would walk to the end of
the dock every other Wednesday and a small seven passenger float plane would
fly me to Vancouver to work. It was a great way to commute, it would have
added seven hours to my day if I had taken the car and ferry.
The summer of 1998 my book slammed it covers when I had a freaky accident in
the work place. Twelve years later, eighteen months in rehab, years of
counseling, years of horrifying drugs, a surgery that went south and I got
gangrene, legal battles, a depression that left me like I had dementia and
pain from hell every day. Then one day I decided that I had had enough of
everything and told my Dr’s that I would no longer take their horrible drugs
and that I would do it my way! Six months later after being sick every day
and in terrible pain I came out the other side and have been recovering ever
since. I no longer have the energy I once had, every day is pained filled
but I have learned to handle it and only go the drug route when I am
desperate.
My days are now spent traveling with Peter to foreign ports, reading, I am
a silversmith, painting, beading, camping in our 5th wheel and family. I once
again teach but only art subjects now. The days of speaking to medical
conferences with 450 in attendance are in the past, do I miss this life, yes
but I know that I can never go back there so am content with having the love
of my family and friends.
Peter and I are in the process of selling everything here in BC and moving to
Ontario to be closer to our families, so another chapter is being written.

2012 COMMENTS:
50 years…WOW!...well, here goes.
After receiving a degree in early childhood education, and living and teaching in the Boston area, I moved to San Francisco, where I met my husband, Garrick. We have been together for over 45 years, and presently live in the State of Washington, on the Olympic Peninsula, outside of Seattle. We have 2 children, a boy and a girl, who are both now in their
mid 30’s. Our home has a view of the Straight of Juan de Fuca, and the
snow covered mountains of the Olympic Range.
We lived in the Colorado Rocky Mountains, above Boulder, CO at 8500 feet for
around 15 years, where I taught pre-school, and worked as an assistant teacher in the elementary school, in the Title I reading program for developmentally challenged children. I was also involved in the R.I.F. (Reading Is Fundamental) program. While we lived in CO, my husband built a successful construction and excavating company, which we sold when we moved on to ID.
We lived outside of Moscow, ID (where the University of Idaho is located),
for over 21 years. I once again worked in the school system, teaching and
working in the library. I was able to be fully involved in our children’s
school activities on a daily basis. In ID, our children, Josh and Shauna,
had many opportunities to experience activities like Girl Scouts; Boy Scouts;
downhill and cross country skiing; young people’s writer’s conferences;
Future Problem Solvers, etc. Garrick was a systems technician for the large
athletic facility at the University, which was so large, that it had a
football field inside!
Every year, I was involved in the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival, and, worked
as an advertising agent for a regional tourism magazine. Eventually, Garrick
and I created our own business called “Life Force Naturals”. This was a
great example of “a hobby run amuck”! Garrick was a bee keeper, and turned
this hobby into a multi-national business, with outlets in several countries,
as well as the US. We produced honey, bee pollen, award winning honey wines,
called “Mead”, which we took gold, silver, and bronze awards at the Los
Angeles Wine Competition. We also participated in wine tasting competitions
in Sun Valley, ID, Aspen, CO, San Francisco, CA, Portland, OR, Seattle, WA
and Boise, ID.
We later sold the business, but had a great time for many years. We would
typically take part in 20 to 25 wholesale and retail shows a year, traveling
around the country in our motor home, promoting our products, and opening new
markets. We no longer are so intensely involved with the rather frenetic
pace we were moving at for many years. We now produce just one product, an
award winning sweet red bell pepper sauce. For years, we supplied Hickory
Farms Catalog with this product, until they closed that division of their
business. So, we are rebuilding our market for it using the web, (Lifeforce-Specialty-), and setting up new accounts in small
to medium size specialty food stores. If you go to our website, it is still
under construction, and is a bit “primitive” right now!
So, to continue with my life since leaving the east coast, when we were
living in Moscow, ID, where we raised our two children, we created and opened
a fine art and espresso store/gallery, where we featured the works of over
100 regional artists, as well as 50 small specialty foods. It was an extremely popular store, we were even on the tour list for foreign dignitaries who would be traveling to our country. Our store was also written up in Entrepreneur Magazine, which was pretty exciting! We sold
the businesses when we left ID and moved to the Olympic Peninsula, outside
of Seattle, WA where we still live today, with a view of the ocean and islands.
We have always loved traveling, whether in our motor homes (we wore out 3 of
them!), or going to Hawaii, or Mexico, where we have gone every spring for
the last 18 years, and have owned a time share in Mazatlan since 1998. We
even did a cruise to the Caribbean several years ago. Europe is also on our
list in the next couple of years.
Yes, we have/are enjoying life! We also work hard, work out daily, and are
both in good health, and looking forward to the future and all of the
exciting opportunities that will arise!
I am a gourmet vegetarian, well, actually, “pesca-tarian”, since we eat fish!
We have been pescatarians for over 45 years, and we are grateful every day
for what we have been given in this life!
This is just small pieces of the last 50 years! There is so much more!
I enjoyed reading everyone’s bio, and hope that you all enjoy reading mine!

I attended Manchester technical Institute to study electronics in the fall
of 1962.
In November 1963 I joined the U.S. Army as an aviation mechanic. Majority
of my military career was spent in Germany as a crew chief on the OV1 one Mohawk. We were tasked with flying the East German border doing surveillance during the cold war. I was discharged from the Army in September 1966.
I began work for the Addressograph Multigraph Corp. after my Army career.
This is where I met my lovely wife, Linda, and we were married in April 1967.
We recently celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary.
In August 1967 I began work for AT&T. I stayed with AT&T for 32 years until my right retirement in June 1998. With AT&T I began working with computers in early 1970. This began a long association with computer hardware and maintenance throughout my career with AT&T.
My biggest love in life beyond my wife has always been flying. In 1984 I
finally had the time and the money to earn my pilots license. I flew power
planes and gliders for more than 20 years. I was lucky enough to be
transferred by AT&T to Colorado in 1990. This gave me the opportunity to
fly my glider in the spectacular mountains and valleys of Colorado. I
retired from flying in 2006.
After my retirement from AT&T. We purchased a home in the mountains of Colorado. Our home is only about a mile from the Continental divide and
is at 9000 feet above sea level.
We have one daughter, Sharon who works for Hewlett-Packard in Loveland,
Colorado. We have one son, Adam, who is a minister in upstate New York.
Now our greatest joy in life is enjoying a long relaxing cruise. We have completed 14 cruises so far and are looking forward to our next cruise from Los Angeles to Tahiti round-trip next March.
