Message from June:

Dear Parents,

Thanks to all of you who were able to make it to the coffees recently! We had some great conversations and brainstorming of ideas for our school. It seems that your kids are thriving at PPP! Hopefully you will hear that during our conferences this week as well.

With so many new students and parents we are all in a big learning curve. Be patient with us and yourselves as we learn about your students and our program. This past Friday our staff came together for a "retreat" to spend 3 hours looking more deeply at our teaching practices, new technology, and ways to further engage your kids while they are with us.

No school-Winter break Dec 19--Jan 2

Classes resume Tuesday January 3

We are still in need of additional PAT help on Mondays and some Tuesday and Thursday times. If you can offer some extra assistance, or can even be put on a "call list" for those unplanned need for coverage times, contact Stephanie.

Mission Statement

The "heart" or core of what we do, will be service oriented. The educational needs and desires of our home schooling students and their parents will be the priority in the choices school leaders make.

The classes and services we offer will be characterized by excellence. It is our expectation that this partnership program will be a model to other alternative schools in its quality and diversity of programs offered.

I will look forward to seeing you at conferences and also at the High School Information meeting on Tuesday Nov 15 that is very appropriate for both middle and high school. There is a lot to learn about high school options and expectations so we want to keep you up to date.

If you are new to our school, thanks for coming! And if you have been with us for a while, thanks for coming back!

June Shirey

From nurse Kathy:

Parents--just a reminder that I need updated immunizations by this Thursday October 28th.

Thanks!

From our PTO:

We are looking for a parent that

would like to take over our Box Tops

program. What this includes is input-

ting information online for our school

and sending in the Box Tops la-

bels. It is something that can be

done once a month during a PAT vol-

.

unteer time. Please let Mrs. Jones

know if you are interested.
