Objectives
Students will:
1. Research, present, and become “experts” on a specific aspect of social change during the 1920’s.
2. Compare social change in the 1920’s and today.
3. Determine which changes created positive and negative effects.
4. Predict what types of changes they think will be happening 20 years from today.
Procedure and Product
1. In groups of 2, read and highlight the information provided about a particular social change of the 1920’s.
2. Design a 4-5 slide mini powerpoint presentation w/ bulleted content (you may include more than 4 slides that are just pictures) about your particular topic.
3. Proofread your presentation.
4. Use visuals, graphs, charts and plenty of pictures
5. One video clip-you will earn more points if you and your partner create your own video
6. Keep points on powerpoint focused on “big ideas” rather than long, drawn out paragraphs of information.
7. Create a fill in the blanks note sheet for the class using Microsoft Word
8. Present your powerpoint -each group member taking turns presenting the information-rehearse your presentation please and use notecards to help you explain beyond the slides
9. Take notes on the other group’s presentation
