March Mission Emphasis

Contributions to this month’s Mission Box will support the youth on their mission trip in June to Atlanta, Georgia. The youth plan on volunteering at Bullseye Rescue, Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, Paint Love, Helping Mama’s, Love Beyond Walls, Covenant House, and Kula Project. The youth will also spend part of one day doing a bike tour of Atlanta. This tour will give our youth and adult leadership a close look at Civil Rights, both past and present. Money placed in the Mission Box and loose change in the offering plate will go to help fund their mission trip. Thanks in advance for helping make this educational trip possible.

Friday Study Group

On March 8, the Friday Class began a new study with the book Why Religion? by author, Elaine Pagels.  Ms. Pagels is a famous Dead Sea Scrolls scholar and author of the book The Gnostic Gospels.  But this new book, Why Religion? is a personal memoir of her own faith journey following significant grief.  Ms. Pagels explores why religion is an important aspect of her life and ours.  Please order your own book.  The Friday class meets at 9:30-11:00, and frequently goes out for lunch afterward.  Come and join us!
