Go through feelings and BSL actions. Then model trapdoor pair game. One partner writes a sentence using the sentence frame below on a mini whiteboard but hides it from their partner. The other has to guess the sentence. At each stage, if they make a mistake they ‘fall through the trapdoor’ and go back to the start. Encourage them to use TL 对/不对 with their partner. Then they switch. Everyone to try writing sentences using photo prompts and sentence frame on mini-wbs. Share good examples/address misconceptions as necessary. Mini-whiteboards.Print out of ‘trapdoor’ sheet. Lesson 6LI: To act out a familiar story Simon says to revise feelings actions. Go through a few pictures with sentence frame below. Children tell their partner what sentence would match the picture. E.g. 妈妈很生气!Then share the main activity – we will be acting out the story in groups of three. Pupils have a basic script with visual aids and will work in groups of 3: narrator, Monkey king, other monkeys to act out the script. First model with script on the screen and teacher acting as the narrator, children stand up and act out listening to the teacher. Do lots of mini-plenaries to share examples of good teamwork and groups who have thought carefully about what to act out. (If you have an assembly coming up this could be extended and rehearsed over a longer period of time with props etc. Or you could take a video to share in assembly.) Pick groups to perform their story. Take photos/videos.
