This is an opportunity to deliver co-ordination and administrative services supporting this very busy dance organisation based in Manchester. Responsibilities will include diary management for the team including managing the performance companies touring programme and arranging internal and external meetings. The post-holder will lead on the Company’s correspondence via telephone, email and mail and must hold strong communication skills. The Company Co-ordinator will also lead on the administration of Company Chameleon’s finances. The postholder must be adaptable, well organised and flexible. Job DescriptionTo provide a highly effective co-ordination service.To deliver support services to the senior management team, to co-ordinate touring and studio activity and general administration that reflects and develops the artistic vision of the company.To co-ordinate the correspondence of the Artistic Directors, and ensure smooth and effective communication on their behalf, with both external and internal colleagues. To form a central point of contact for colleagues, Board members and collaborators, making sure that schedules are up to date and communication is smooth. Leading on the organisation of touring arrangements, schedules and liaison with venues, festivals and freelance artists Leading on the team’s financial administrative procedures including raising purchase orders and invoices, processing expenses and payments.You will support the company on site during performances and workshops where required. Supporting the Marketing & Communications Manager with marketing and promotional activity.At all times to carry out duties and responsibilities with regard to the company’s Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety Policies and be an advocate for Company Chameleon. Supporting with evaluation and reporting.Supporting with the writing of fundraising applications.Supporting with office and building management.Person SpecificationEssentialRelevant experience in a company assistant role.Significant professional arts administration experience with knowledge of and a passion for the arts and/or dance.Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to deal confidently and positively with all levels of staff, both face to face and over the telephone. A high standard of written English, and an ability to draft letters and minutes, applications and marketing materials. Excellent organisational and time-management skills, and the ability to prioritise. IT skills including online scheduling tools, CRM management, diary management and reporting. Experience of financial administration, managing budgets and compiling financial reports. The ability to produce fast, accurate work to a high level of presentation, and the ability to proof-read and correct own work. The ability to remain calm and flexible and handle a varied and time pressured workload.The ability to quickly develop an understanding of the work of the SMT and to respect confidentiality and discretion. The ability to work as part of a team. A flexible and can-do attitude.A willingness to be flexible with working hours.DesirableExperience of project administration.Experience of marketing and communications including social media About Company ChameleonCompany Chameleon makes original, inspiring dance theatre in Manchester, and performs across the UK and the world.Chameleon started when Anthony Missen and Kevin Edward Turner met at Trafford Youth Dance Theatre in the mid-1990s. Two ordinary lads from Manchester, they shared an ambition to dance professionally. After developing their talent at Trafford, they went on to train with the Northern School of Contemporary Dance, and after graduating travelled and worked with some of the world’s most innovative dance companies and choreographers.They came home in 2007 with the aim of setting up their own dance company – and Company Chameleon was born. Today, Company Chameleon tours internationally, staging over 50 indoor and outdoor performances every year. Wherever we perform, we lead a dance class or a workshop. As a result, we have introduced thousands of young people, from countries all over the world, to a different side of dance and movement.
