All SDVOSB offerors must be verified by the Center for Veterans Enterprise (CVE) at and be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM). Interested parties should also register as such on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website.The purpose of this contract is to provide an addition to the Building 30 Research Building. This work shall include the construction of the expansion to the Building-30 University Drive Research Building. This project will involve the construction of basement and three elevated floors, to be aligned with the main levels of the existing Building-30. The expansion will include wet benches, lab support equipment space, animal research and holding areas, administrative area for research staff, retaining wall for the parking lot/loading dock modification, and connections for installation of owner relocated lab equipment. The magnitude of construction is between $5 – 10 million.The applicable NAICS code is 236220 with a small business size standard of $33.5 million. In accordance with FAR 5.203, this notice is being published at least fifteen days before issuance of the solicitation. The solicitation with any and all pertinent information, including specs, drawings, and amendments will be published on the Fed Biz Ops website. Proposals will be due 30 days after the solicitation is issued and the contract will be awarded no later than September 30, 2013.The Government is under no obligation to issue a solicitation as a result of this notice.
