Ballots must be provided at the various voting precincts with the following words printed or written on the ballot:“Should the State of South Carolina legalize the recreational use of marijuana notwithstanding any federal law to the contrary?Yes?No?Those voting in favor of the question shall deposit a ballot with a check or cross mark in the square after the word ‘Yes’, and those voting against the question shall deposit a ballot with a check or cross mark in the square after the word ‘No’.”(C)Within sixty days after the results of the 2022 General Election are certified, the State Election Commission must submit a report to the General Assembly concerning the results of the referendum.SECTION2.This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.XX ................
