Text SettingsYou can easily change all of your All New Custom Path?photo?book's text settings at once.Go to the Book drop-down menu in the upper-right corner of?Edit?view?or?Arrange view?and select Text Settings. Now use the drop-down menus to set the font,?font version?(italics, bold, etc.),?size,?and color for a specific text style. Click the Apply button when you're finished.These selections will now automatically be applied to any text box in your?photo?book pages that uses that text style. You can still use other fonts in your?photo?book when you?edit?individual text boxes; these?overrides the default style.?Note: When?editing?a particular text box in your?photo?book, the text editor lists the default text style applied to that box.If you've?changed individual text boxes with same text style (e.g., "Large text")?so that they?use different fonts, sizes or colors,?the differing font attributes will be listed as "Mixed" in the Text Settings window. These individual changes will be overwritten if you change "Mixed" to something else and apply the changes.If you want to restore the text defaults (as determined by your?photo?book's?style), simply click the Restore Defaults link in the lower left corner. It's the new style... center stage on the mic. Pictures from Your ComputerOnce you've selected the?size?and?style?of your All New Custom Path?photo?book, it's time to add pictures to your project. You can get pictures from?several different sources, but to upload pictures directly from your computer to your picture strip, click the Add Pictures button on the picture strip.In the Choose Pictures For Your?Photo?Book window, select the My Computer tab. Then click Get Pictures. Navigate to the pictures on your computer that you want and select them; hold the Shift key to select multiplephotos?or Ctrl-A? (Windows only)?to select all?photos. Click Open to start adding pictures to your?photo?book project.These pictures appear under the My Computer tab. (Note:?There may be a?slight delay while we?create thumbnails of the pictures.)?Select them and click the Add to?Photo?Book button.You can work on your?photo?book while the pictures are uploading.?(Note: You must be signed-in before the upload can begin.) Path?photo?books: changing stylesTo change the style of a Simple Path book, click on the "Change style" button on your?photo?book toolbar.? This is just below the Shutterfly logo on the upper left corner of your screen.Once you click on this button, you can scroll through our many designs.? Just click on the design you like and your?photo?book will automatically update with this style.? When you are?satisfied with your chosen style, click the "Done" button to return to?editing?your?photo?book. are filters that you can apply to your pictures to alter the color. Each filter applies a different type of effect to your?photo?and can be?applied to your?pictures when creating your All New Custom Path?photobook by simply double clicking on the picture that you would like to change the color.?To begin using the?photo?effects, simply follow the steps below:??1. Will it be cropped when I order prints?Our borders are designed in a 2:3 aspect ratio, which are best suited to a 4x6" size photo. Many digital camera photos are in a 3:4 aspect ratio, so it is likely that a portion of the top and bottom of your photo will be trimmed to accommodate the border.When you order a print of a bordered photo, we will adjust the proportions of the border for the print size you choose. We do this so that the border will not be cropped irregularly during the printing process. However, we recommend using the 'print preview' feature in the shopping cart to see how your photo within the border itself may be cropped. The album you chose, or the new one you created will open.? Resolution What resolution do my pictures need to be?Most modern digital camera photos easily exceed our minimum recommended dimensions. Just set your camera to 3 megapixels or more.(For products with larger print sizes, such as Canvas Prints and poster-sized prints, err on the side of higher resolution. And over 10 megapixels isn't really necessary!)?Note that Shutterfly currently?only accepts JPG or JPEG file formats. Some?additional quick?tips:Upload first, then crop!?If you want to crop your photo, we recommend doing so?after?uploading the original to Shutterfly. It's easy, and the benefit is that you can adjust and change it easily.We warn you about low-resolution images. Copy and paste the URL into an email from your own email provider, in an instant messenger chat, on a blog or social network, or wherever you choose.Share to?social networks?What does it mean to share a photo or album to a social network?Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, Typepad, Plaxo, Livespaces, Wordpress, Google+ and Blogger are social networks where you can stay continually connected to your friends and family. With this feature, you can easily share a link to your albums, photos and photo books with your social network. Note: calendars that can be shared, cannot be shared to social networks at this time.Does this mean that everyone on?a social network?will see my album?No, only the friends and networks that you have given permission to in your social network privacy settings will see the link to your album or photo.The Invitation to ShareWhat do my friends see when I share an album with them?The 'From' line on the email will be the first and last name on your account. The 'To' line on the email will contain only the email address of an individual recipient. This means that recipients of a share email will not be able to see the email addresses of everyone else to whom you sent the share invitation.The 'Subject' line of the email is standardized, or it can contain whatever you decide to enter. The main part of the email will contain the personalized message that you typed in, plus instructions on how to see your photo or album(s) and a link to your photos.If your recipients are able to view HTML-formatted emails, they will also see a preview of the photo(s) you shared with them. When you share an album, the first photo in the album will appear in the invitation email. When you share a single photo, the photo will appear in the invitation email.Will the share email tell my invited friends what to do?The email contains instructions that tell your recipients exactly how to see your pictures. All your recipients need to do is click on the link provided in the email and then type in their email address and choose a password. You can add your own personal message to the invitation as well.Are there any email attachments?There are no attachments to emails sent from the web site. The pictures your friends see are securely stored in the Snapfish computer system, and they are viewed on the Snapfish web site.When your friends receive the share invite email from you, they will click on a link that brings them to the Snapfish web site. They will then enter their email and password to create their own Snapfish account. From there, they will view your photos.Can I write a personal message or change anything in the?invitation?You can personalize the subject line and main message that will be sent to your recipients when you invite them to see your photo or album(s). The instructions on how to see your photos cannot be changed.How do I change my mind about sharing if I'm in the middle of the process?Just click the gray 'cancel' button, and you will be returned to your album. The invitation email will not be sent.How do I know the invitation was sent?You can choose to receive a copy of the email by checking the box next to 'Send me a copy of this email' after you've selected your recipients. You will also see a confirmation page that contains the name of the album(s) or photo and the list of email addresses from the invitation. If you want to keep a record of the people you've shared with, you can print this confirmation page or view the share history section of your album.After SharingOnce I've shared a photo or album(s), what can my friends do with it?By signing in to Snapfish using an email address and a password, your friends can see the album anytime, plus order reprints and enlargements of any pictures they choose.Can people I share with order reprints? Who pays for them?Yes, anyone you share a photo or album(s) with can order reprints on their own, at no cost to you! When they order reprints, they will submit their own billing information. You will never be charged for an order that someone else places.What do you do with the names of people I share with?The email addresses are added to your address book, so you can share albums again without having to re-type email addresses. Snapfish will never use the email address of anyone you share with in any way other than to send an email invitation to share the album you selected.Making changes to a shared albumIf I share an album and then make changes to it, can my friends see the changes?Yes. You still own your album; your recipients just have an invitation to see it. So your albums are always under your control. If you want to add photos to an album, update photo captions or the name of the album, rotate photos, or delete them, then your invited recipients will see the same changes in your album the next time they view it.If I share an album and then choose to delete it, can invited friends still see the album in their own accounts?No. After you delete an album, the recipients you have invited to see the album will no longer be able to see it.I've shared an album, but don't want anyone to see it anymore. What can I do?If you've already shared an album with friends, the only way you can prevent them from seeing it is by deleting it. One way you can do this without losing the photos is to move all the pictures into a new album and then delete the old, empty album.Privacy of your photosWhy do my friends have to sign up when I share my pictures with them?Asking your friends to create their own account by typing in their email address and choosing a password ensures the privacy and security of your pictures.When I share with someone, do they have access to my account and other albums?Absolutely not! When you share an album or photos with a friend, only that specific album or photo can be seen by your friend. The photo(s) is viewed in your friend's own password-protected account on the Snapfish site.The only person with access to your account is you. Your friends create their own accounts by typing in their email addresses and selecting passwords.
