Package Dimensions Enhancements FedEx Ship Manager (FSM) v. 2300 offers 2 package dimensions enhancements when you use your own packaging: ? The minimum package dimensions are

1"x1"x1" for FedEx Express shipments. ? The order of the package dimensions is

automatically corrected before you receive a courtesy rate quote. FSM automatically assigns the largest dimension to the Length field, the second largest to the Width field, and the third largest to the Height field. This enhancement provides more accurate rate estimates for billing information.

FedEx Ship Manager automatically corrects the order of your package dimensions.

Handling Charge Enhancements

With enhanced handling charge features, you can now do the following:

? Combine your fixed handling charge and your percentage handling charge for all shipment types.

? Subtract your handling charges to pass along a shipping discount to your customers.

Note: You must set your handling charge defaults in Shipping Profiles to activate the Add'l handling button.

To override your handling charge defaults for a shipment, click the Add'l handling button and enter new handling charge values.

Select Fixed or Variable handling charge amounts.

Click the Add'l handling button to override your handling charge defaults.

Handling Charge Enhancements

Follow these steps to combine your fixed handling charge and your percentage handling charge.

1 Select Shipping Profiles from the Customize menu.

2 Select the profile to update, then click View/Edit.

3 Select FedEx Express or FedEx Ground prefs.

4 Select Include additional handling charge.

5 To subtract your fixed handling charge, select Fixed amount. Include a dash/minus sign (-) before the dollar amount.

6 To subtract your variable amount, select Variable amount. Include a dash/minus sign (-) before the amount, and select where to add it to from the drop-down menu.

7 Click OK.

Include a dash/minus sign to subtract handling charges.

Additional Online Help Selected fields on the domestic and international shipping screens now have hyperlinks to provide more detailed shipping information. These fields are underlined and shown in blue. When you click a hyperlinked field, online help displays for that field. Note: All fields on the shipping screens have context-sensitive help text. Place your cursor in any field and press F1 for more information.
