1607820-495300Controller00Controller-367030-50800000PURPOSEUnder the direction of the Chief Financial Officer, the Controller is expected to steward the company’s financial reporting and positively contribute to the financial performance of the company.DIMENSION/FUNCTIONThis position is responsible for leading, coaching, and managing the Finance & Accounting team, in the pursuit of effective internal control design and implementation, monthly historical reporting, fiscal year-end audit, and essential financial planning and analysis. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESBuild relationships across the organization to understand Wyffels Hybrids strategy, value proposition, critical success factors, and key performance indicators Manage the preparation and communication of periodic, timely and relevant historical financial information to key stakeholders Drive the standardization of periodic, consistent, and thoughtful financial analyses to support investment decision makingDocument, assess, and elevate prominence of internal controls with periodic tests of design and operating effectiveness Establish, manage and communicate the Company’s financial planning process including detailed annual projections and summary long-term projections Prepare and periodically update summary financial projections for lending institutions, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flowsContribute to and support annual Price & Program development to achieve profitable sales growth and achieve company financial objectivesLead the coordination, preparation, and review of audit and tax workpapers; serve as primary point of contact for annual financial audit and tax compliance Lead, coach, and manage Finance & Accounting staff including Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant, and Accounts Payable Travel to periodic meetings to better understand the business, develop relationships, identify potential opportunities, and interpret industry competitive dynamicsIdentify and assess areas of significant business risk and develop plans to mitigate exposure Read and understand key business agreements to interpret financial impact and accounting treatmentPromote collaboration and a positive, professional work environment This list of responsibilities is not all inclusive and will be expanded to include other responsibilities as necessary.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES/MEASUREMENTAn employee’s performance will be measured by his/her contribution in meeting the overall expectations of the role as well as the expectations in relation to the Company’s financial goals and performance. QUALIFICATIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:Education:Bachelor’s Degree, in Accounting or related field; CPA required; Minimum of 10 years of experience in a finance & accounting roleKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Understanding of economic and accounting principles and practices, banking, and the analysis and reporting of financial information Identifying complex problems and reviewing information to evaluate options and implement solutions. Knowledge of business information systems, computers, and applications. Familiarity with sales and marketing principles including determining price, marketing strategy and tactics, and sales techniques. Strong motivational and leadership abilities. A demonstrated ability to get results through others.Effective time and workload management.Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
