JOB DESCRIPTION

Chief Financial Officer

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer

JOB SUMMARY

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is the senior financial executive at Stanislaus Surgical Hospital. The CFO is responsible for safeguarding and maximizing the assets of SSH. The CFO acts as the primary internal financial consultant to the CEO, COO, DCS, DOE, Department Managers and the Board of Directors.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Participation as a member of the Senior Management Team. This includes providing advice and consultation on both financial and non-financial issues.

Responsible for the production of periodic financial statements, these include but are not limited to:

• Monthly internally prepared financial packet

• Annual externally prepared financial reports

• Annual Tax Returns

• Medicare Cost Report

• OSHPD Annual Disclosure and Quarterly Financial Reports

• Bi-Weekly Productivity Reports

• Other reports as requested

Ensure that SSH remains in compliance with any and all lender covenants.

Assist in the development and negotiation of external contracts.

Assist in the development and negotiation of payor contracts.

Development and implementation of an Annual Operating and Capital Budget.

Provide internal financial consulting services as requested by the Management Team and Board of Directors.

Responsible for provide leadership and direction for Information System throughout the organization.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Minimum Education

Bachelors Degree in Business or Related Discipline.

Minimum Experience

10 years Financial Management experience, preferably in a healthcare setting. Significant experience in Information Systems evaluation and management required.

Skills/ Abilities

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to present complex concepts in a large group setting. Strong knowledge of a wide range of computer applications and operating systems
