AWARD YEAR 2020-2021 STUDENT FINANCIAL AID REFUND DATES

Attendance You must attend your classes to be eligible for financial aid. Fall and spring attendance is confirmed starting the first week of classes through the 21st day of classes each semester. The WN (Never Attended) Grade will be assigned if your attendance is not confirmed. Financial Aid will not pay for classes with WN Grades.

Financial Aid (Federal Pell, SEOG, Direct Loans) Refund Dates Please see Federal Work Study (FWS) payment calendar for FWS payment dates. Checks will be mailed directly to you (address we have on CUNYfirst) if you do not have direct deposit. Summer 2020 refunds for all financial aid programs will begin on July 24, 2020 and will be issued weekly as students become eligible.

If you withdraw from all classes during the semester and do not attend more than 60 percent of the semester

(Fall: November 4, 2020 and Spring: April 12, 2021) you will be ineligible for full Federal Financial Aid

(Federal Pell, SEOG, Direct Loans). Your awards will be prorated based on the number of days you attended during the semester.

Fall Book Advance Refund Dates (25% of Federal Pell Grant): 8/21/2020 8/28/2020 9/09/2020 9/11/2020 9/18/2020

Fall Refund Date: 10/05/2020 Fall refund date (remaining 75% of Federal Pell Grant) and other financial aid programs including Federal Direct Loans, will be October 5, 2020. After October 5th, refunds will be issued weekly as students become eligible.

Spring Book Advance Payment Dates (25% of Federal Pell Grant): 1/25/2021 1/29/2021 2/05/2021

Spring Refund Date: 3/08/2021 Spring refund date (remaining 75% of Federal Pell Grant) and other financial aid programs, including Federal Direct Loans, will be March 8, 2021. After March 8th, refunds will be issued weekly as students become eligible.
