Logistics Information

BUS TRANSPORT

We have busses departing from both County Hall in Nottingham at 6:00am (NG2 7QP) and Trent Adventures CP5 at 6:30am (DE73 7HJ). We can not wait for anyone that's late. A van will be present at each pick up point (NO HARD BOARDS), please load equipment that you need transporting to either the start line or the overnight stop, we will supply luggage tags marked with your team name and drop location. Please carry your paddle with you. Car parking available (must be pre-ordered) at county hall, this is a flexipass from Thursday ? Sunday and allows vehicles to come and go. Car parking available at overnight stop ? access availab le from 5am Friday until Saturday 7pm. Sunday 9am ? 1pm.

START LINE

If you are arriving by Trent100 bus we will transport your equipment to an allocated space for your team, so that you can prepare together this will be near the start lin e. You will already have been issued your lanyard on the bus, please k eep this with you all weekend. If you are making your own way you must park at Shugbourgh Hall ST17 0XB. Enter site through main exit. Park in main car park (no vehicles can be left in this car park after 11:00am) and walk (500 mtrs) down to the start line, there will be marshals there to direct you. Please go to registration to collect your lanyards. Absolutely no paddler or support access is available from Great Hayward side of the river. All team captains must r eport to registration to collect satellite trackers. We will p erform a short safety update briefing before we set teams off. Teams will be set off at regular 3 ? 5 min intervals, in an ordered manner, approximate departure times will be provided on arrival. If your team is not ready when called, we will skip you out and come back to you later. It will take us up to 1 hour to launch all teams as the river at this point is narrow. Please try to relax, enjoy the scenery and remember it's not a race!

OVERNIGHT STOP (CP5)

We expect paddlers to arrive between 3.30pm and 5:30pm We have a gr eat location for you to hang out and cheer the teams across the line. H ere there are hot showers, refreshments, and some other cool surprises! We will eat together at around 6.30pm. SUP Cinema will start by 9:00pm, where we can relax and socialise then turn in for the night for a gr eat nights sleep. B ell tent camping (shared) is availab le, please bring roll matt / sleeping bag. We have lim ited availability, however if you have booked this and we don't have space we will inform you of this. Breakfast will be served 7am with paddler briefing at 8am, we will be on the water from 8:30am.

FINISH LINE

We expect paddlers to arrive between 2:00pm and 4:30pm into Nottingham Riverside Festival, when you reach Trent Bridge we will send you back up river to the last bridge and then back down to Trent Bridge to make it the full 100km! Drinks will be availab le at Tr ent Bridge Finish line, you will then need to make the short 200m paddle down to the Nottingham Kayak Club where you can store your board for the night (collection between 10am and 1pm Sunday), take a shower and grab a drink. Closest parking if you have not pre-booked parking with us is at Clifton South Tram Park and R ide (post code NG11 8BF) with a short tram ride to festival site. Feel free to grab some food back at the festival site. Party and presentations start at 6:30pm at the Riverside Bar at Trent Bridge, food if you have ordered during the registration process will be served at 7:30pm, fireworks at 10:30pm and dancing until late!

ROUTE CARDS

We will print and laminate 2 route cards per team, please feel free to print and laminate the cards on the next 2 pages, bring some gaffer or insulation tape to attach to your boards.

Make sure you carry sufficient supplies especially water to make each checkpoint, see chart below indicating water points.

Our Marshals will be at each checkpoint and will check you in, please let them know your number and team name.
