After you’ve updated your RSS file, you can speed up the new episode listing on iTunes by pinging iTunes. Enter the following URL into a web browser:
Instead of 000000000, use your own 9-digit iTunes ID number. If you forgot your podcast’s iTunes ID number, follow these steps:
(1) Search iTunes for your podcast.
(2) When you find it, right-click on the album art to “copy iTunes URL.” It looks like this:
(3) The id is at the end of this URL.
Validate RSS
Type in your RSS feed address. Click “Validate.”
