Requirements:
1.) Complete an Adopt An Element information sheet. (25 points)
Information sheet must be neatly written in blue or black ink and contain all of the required information.
2.) Create a poster advertisement for your element. (40 points)
The poster may be created on the computer (use white or colored paper) or by hand on 9x12 inch construction paper. The advertisement must include the element’s name, symbol, atomic number, atomic mass, cost, and a rhyming advertising slogan that describes one or more of its important uses. The advertisement must be neat, colorful, and contain all information listed above. Also required are two images or pictures of your element as they relate to your advertisement theme; how they are used.
3) Present your slogan to an advertising firm (25points) On a separate sheet of paper, you will explain your slogan, as if you were going to present it to an advertising firm to use to market this element. They must understand what this element can be used for why this element is so valuable. Use the PEEL Format. You must use 3 of the 5 interesting facts in your “pitch” to prove why they MUST market this element using your ad.
4.) Finally, present your poster and advertising slogan to the class (10 points) You will “pitch” your element to the class. Tell what the 3 interesting facts are and explain your slogan.
