IN THE PURPLE OVAL. 5. SIGN UP OR SIGN IN 6. FILL OUT A RENEWAL APPLICATION 7. ONCE YOU HAVE SUBMITTED THE APPLICATION PRINT OUT THE

PDF VERSION OF THE APPLICATION SUMMARY. 8. SEND THAT SUMMARY ALONG WITH A CHECK OR MONEY ORDER FOR $75

MADE PAYABLE TO SCPS. YOU CAN SEND IT THROUGH THE COURIER TO ESC/HR/CERTIFICATION.

Remember that you need 20 Exceptional Student Education points to renew. You can pick these points up FREE online through FDLRS.

Seminole State College also has an ESE course Introduction to Exceptional Student Education (EEX2010) that is three (3) semester hours of credit. This would give you half of what you need to renew and you will meet the ESE requirement.

If you are using college credit courses to renew, we will need an official hard copy paper transcript from your college sent to Seminole County Public Schools, 400 East Lake Mary Blvd., Sanford, FL 32773

We will forward your transcript to the State for you!

If you need college credit courses to renew, Seminole State College offers several selections of which most courses are on line. The web site is If you have questions regarding college credit courses, please contact Ashley Navarro at Seminole State. The cost of a three (3) semester hour course is approximately $315.00.

Should Seminole State not offer the class you need, Florida Southern College also offers online courses. During the month of June, Florida Southern offers one week mini- terms. Online courses are usually completed within 5 days. The estimated cost of a course is approximately $625.00 for three (3) semester hours of credit. SOME ISSUES HOLDING UP RENEWALS

1. WHEN FILLING OUT THE APPLICATION IT WILL ASK IF YOU HAVE THE SWD CREDITS. THOSE ARE THE 20 ESE POINTS YOU HAD TO GET DURING YOUR VALIDITY PERIOD. (YOU ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE 120 PD POINTS AND 20 OF THEM HAVE TO BE IN ESE.)

2. EVEN THOUGH YOU ARE NOT PAYING THE STATE, PICK "YES" FOR "DO YOU AGREE TO PAY?"

3. PLEASE MAKE SURE THE ONLY DISTRICT AFFLIATION YOU PICK IS SEMINOLE #59. IN ADDITION, PLEASE ALSO MAKE SURE TO LIST ALL THE SUBJECTS ON YOUR CERTIFICATES.

4. THERE IS NO OPTION TO ADD ENDORSEMENT TO THE RENEWAL. ENDORSEMENTS WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE RENEWED WITH YOUR SUBJECTS.

REMEMBER ADD-ONS ARE DONE WITH A SEPARATE APPLICATION AND CANNOT BE DONE ON THE RENEWAL APPLICATION.
