Osceola County SHIP Down Payment Assistance Program

Applicants must complete a 12hr Homebuyer Education Class offered by Osceola County Extension Services. Call 321-697-3000 for dates and registration.

Obtain a Pre-Approval Letter from one of our participating lenders. Interested party must not have owned a home in the past 3 years. Applicants must contribute at least $1,000 of personal funds towards the purchase of their home. Preference will be given to current Osceola County residents. Homeowners who have lost their home through bankruptcy or foreclosure within the

previous three (3) years will not be eligible. The property must be located in Osceola County (excludes properties in the City of

Kissimmee tax districts 200 & 202, 205). The property may not possess an in-ground pool. The property must be a single family residence, a townhome or a condominium. Attend post-purchase counseling within six months after the home purchase. Maximum home purchase price is $200,000. Assistance can be applied to down payment and closing costs.

Assistance levels are based on the maximum purchase price of the home & the income level of the family, see chart below.
