A complete Child Life Internshipapplication must include the following items. Application packets including folders, paper clips, or staples, or that do not come packaged in the order below will not be reviewed. Any forms (common application, verificationof hours, etc.) that are not legible will not be reviewed.

1. Cover letter detailing why you are applyingfor the internship at Nemours Children's Hospital,Florida and why you would be a good fit for our program.

2. Current resume or curriculum vitae. 3. A one-page statement on your personal philosophy of Child Life. 4. Completed Child Life CommonApplication.

5. Verification of Related Experience Hours form completedfor experience with childrenin health care settings, stressful situations, and well children. Any experiencelisted in the common application must have a corresponding verificationform. 6. Completed Verification of Practicum form or Practicum In-Progress form. For completed practicums, applications must include final evaluation from practicum supervisor. 7. Copy of current Eligibility Assessment showing successful completion of child life course and with completed Course In-Progress forms if applicable. 8. Unofficial transcripts reflecting a minimum overall GPA of 3.0. Please note, if selected for the internship official transcripts will be required. 9. Three completed Internship Candidate CommonRecommendation Forms, two of which must be from someone who has directly observedyour work with children. In addition, letters of recommendation must accompany the forms. Both must be in a sealed and signed envelope.

*At this time, we are only accepting students affiliated with a university who will have completed a practicum by the start of the internshipsemester.

We follow the application deadline and offer schedule as outlined by ACLP. All applications must be received by the deadline to be reviewed.
