(can be found next to the position) on search box.SPECIALTY BILLING TEAM (200770)JOB SUMMARY:The Specialty Billing Team members work in cooperation with the physician practice team to ensure correct coding and submission of clean claims to expedite the processing of EDI, paper, primary and secondary claims. Additionally they are responsible for all follow up of unpaid claims, reimbursement analysis and A/R collection of both insurance and self pays. Specialty Billing Team members work designated specialty practices from start to finish rather than working payer or account specific. ?Knowledge:Requires High School diploma or GED required. Additional training relative to insurance, Management, Software and Hardware would be helpful. Must be familiar with computer, medical terminology, ICD-9 and CPT coding, have good verbal and written communication skills and be able to cope with diverse personalities. Must be able to understand and interpret policies and regulations, able to prepare reports in accordance with detailed instructions. ?Experience:Requires 4 to 5 years’ experience in multi-specialty physician billing. 2 years’ experience with computer application. Knowledge of all aspects of current billing software, knowledge of medical coding to include CPT, ICD9 and HCPCS coding. Knowledge of medical billing/collection practices. Knowledge of governmental legal and regulatory provisions related to billing activities. Knowledge of payment and adjustment policies and procedures. The Practice Manager is responsible for carrying out all established policies including but not limited to revenue cycle management and human resources. ?Knowledge:Bachelors Degree required. Degree in health or business administration is preferred. Management of multiple practices desirable and effective revenue cycle management.
