DISTRICT SOCCER MEETINGS: Your FACA District Soccer Chairman should notify you as to the date, time and location of your FACA District Meeting. The Meetings should be scheduled for February 10, 2020. This is the Monday after the district tournament and should not conflict with anything. If you have not received notice of your District Meeting by February 6th, you should contact your District Chairman or the FACA Office (District Chairmen listed at the end of this memo).

The FACA Soccer All-Star Classic is set for March 6-7, 2020 at Celebration High School in Celebration. You must be a 2019-20 FACA member to nominate, vote or be nominated as an All-Star Coach (FACA Board of Directors require that the coach of any athlete participating in an FACA All-Star Game must be a current member of the FACA or the athlete is ineligible). If you are not a current member, you may join the FACA prior to the start of your District Meeting. District Chairmen will have FACA applications on hand (check or cash for $70.00). Coaches can also join on our website , click on the “on-line-membership” box and follow the steps. At check out you can pay by credit card.

ALL STAR, ALL STATE, ALL ACADEMIC NOMINATIONS - Coaches will nominate senior athletes for the 2020 FACA All-Star Soccer Classic. The Regional Coordinator will select the pre-set number (based on Soccer alignment) of players from your district. If one of your players is selected, you will be contacted. In addition to attending your meeting, these nominations must be submitted electronically via our website by the coach. This information is very important as it will be used to invite players for the All Star Classic. To submit your nominations electronically, follow the directions below:

1. Go to our website, , click on the “FORMS” tab at the top.

2. Select GIRLS SOCCER, select COACHES Forms, “All Star, All State, All Academic Nomination Form”.

3. Check approiate box(es) & Enter information, complete and hit “Submit”.

4. You will receive a confirmation email with a certificate for your athlete.

Any nomination received for players whose coach is not a member will be ineligible to participate. You must still attend your meeting to get your players on the list of potential invites. If your player is selected to the All Star Classic, you should send your $125.00 sponsorship immediately to the FACA Office. If we have not received your sponsorship check by Feburary 27th , your athlete may be replaced on the team.

Be sure you go to (free) and enter your team roster and stats. Maxpreps has many “Coach Resources” available for you and your team such as schedule, roster, stats, mass text your team, email your stats to the media, compare stat leaders for the state and nation, post videos, etc. On the nomination forms, you will be required to paste your player’s stats link in the form. You can contact if you need help. As long as you keep your stats updated we will always have the most up-to-date stats by doing it this way. We will use this site to review information on nominees for All-Star Classic and All-State Teams.

ALL STAR COACH NOMINATIONS: All Star coach nominees will be placed on a list for future consideration in the All Star Soccer Classic.

Miss Soccer & Girls’ Soccer Coach-of-the-Year: Outstanding high school athletes and coaches in the state of Florida will be honored in an awards program sponsored by the FACA and the Florida Dairy Farmers, Inc. Along with nominating SENIOR athletes for the all-star games, you will need to select a District Player-of-the-Year for each classification and District Coach-of-the-Year for each classification. The nomination forms for the Florida Dairy Farmers awards are enclosed with your all-star nomination ballot. Your nominees for the Florida Dairy Farmers awards will be placed on a ballot along with the names from the other FACA districts. You, the other FACA district chairmen and prep sportswriters from around the state will then select the top players and coaches in each classification. The player receiving the most votes will be named Miss Soccer and the coach receiving the most votes will be named the state girls’ soccer Coach-of-the-Year. Underclassmen may be nominated for this award.

ALL-STATE TEAM: The FACA will select an All-State Team in each classification. You must complete an Electronic Nomination Form for any athlete that you want to nominate. THIS IS THE ONLY WAY YOUR PLAYER WILL BE CONSIDERED. See the instructions in the nominations section of this letter.

ALL ACADEMIC TEAM: The FACA will also select a All Academic Team in each classification. Must have a 3.5 or better GPA and be a starting player to be eligible. You must complete an Electronic Nomination Form for any athlete that you want to nominate. THIS IS THE ONLY WAY YOUR PLAYER WILL BE CONSIDERED. See the instructions in the nominations section of this letter.
