1. VIETNAM HR DAY INTRODUCTION

1.1. General Introduction

Vietnam HR Day is until now the largest open forum in Vietnam for discussing human resources (HR) topics and has become an annual HR forum for business leaders and HR professionals in Vietnam. Vietnam HR Day will gather hundreds of Businesspersons, Directors, Economic Experts and HR Managers from well-known local and foreign companies.

Vietnam HR Day was first held in Hanoi (2009), in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City (2010) the second time. Since 2010, Vietnam HR Day will be held in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City and will be followed by other seminars in many provinces around the country.

Vietnam HR Day is regarded as a special event to connect Vietnam HR Community. The Community’s delegates coming from different provinces around Vietnam have chosen this event as an opportunity to meet, discuss, and share with each other about their favorite topics. 3.1. Vietnam HR Day 2009

Topic: Respecting and Connecting Vietnam HR Community

Vietnam HR Day 2009 was successfully held on October 31st 2009 in the National Convention Center, Hanoi. There were more than 800 guests coming to the event, including 600 tickets given out and other registered delegates.

In Vietnam, it was the first time the Vietnam HR community had the chance to celebrate their own event, and also the first time they can join a large-scale HR Management forum.

Vietnam HR Day 2009 was happy to welcome Mr. Trần Đình Thiện (President of CIEM), Mr Phạm Đình Đoàn (President of Phú Thái Corporation), Mr.Chris Harvey (Director General of VietNamWorks), Mr.Hoàng Đình Phi (President of San Nam Corporation), Mr.Đặng Đức San (Head of the Legal Department, Ministry of Labour – Invalids and Social affairs)

3.2. Vietnam HR Day 2010

Topic: Human Resource Strategy in a New Context

Vietnam HR Day 2010 was celebrated in Hanoi (National Convention Center) on October 31st and in Ho Chi Minh City ( White Palace Convention Center) on November 7th. There were more than 2000 guests joined the event.

Vietnam HR Day 2010, besides its ordinary goals, was an occasion to express the hope for establishing Vietnam HR Association in charge of Vietnam HR Community. Vietnam HR Day 2010 did successfully collect more than 1.000 signatures supporting this idea.

Vietnam HR Day 2010, co-organized by Vietnam Young Entrepreneur Association, attracted great concern from the Government, appropriate authorities, state companies and bussinessmen. 4.1. Topic

Vietnam HR Day 2011 with the topic “The Human Resource Quality in Vietnam” will go straight to the biggest problem of Vietnamese enterprises: The human resource quality and productivity cannot meet the demand of the development process. To prepare for the discussion topic, the Organizing Committee has carried out the “Human Resource Management Survey” – joined by 1.000 enterprises and HR professionals. The survey was also carried out in approximately 200 enterprises of the “Sao Vang Dat Viet” Award.

4.6. Vietnam HR Day 2011 activities

4.6.1. HRM Exposition

HRM Exposition area is expected to gather approximately 50 companies in HR-related field. Those companies will have their own areas to promote their products and services. The exposition will be associated with tea-break space, where delegates can do the networking and sharing with each other.

The Organizing Committee also set up a place where delegates can take picture, take note and taking part in other activities.

4.6.2. Luncheon:

Delegates will be warmly invited to attend the luncheon hosted by the Organizing Committee at the Convention Center, which starts at 12 a.m. and ends at 2 p.m.

4.6.3. General Session: The General session will consist of 03 parts:

In the Ceremony, beside the speeches given by the Organizing Committee and other experts, Vietnam HR Day 2011 will award HR Day Campaign Medal to sponsors and to individuals with great contribution to Vietnam HR Community. The Ceremony will be warmed up by special performances and will be ended up by the announcement of the project “Top 100 Best Vietnam Companies to work for”

The Overview part will consist of the Overview reports about Recent HR Management Situation of Vietnamese enterprises and other reports given by famous CEOs from well-known companies.

Q&A and Sharing Forum: all the delegates and experts in HR management field will attend this discussion forum.

5. The Human Resource Management Survey Report:

The report will be first published on Vietnam HR Day 2011, and will be annually published in the coming years. This year, the survey’s result includes statistics from approximately 1000 enterprises and HR professionals, with more than 200 ones from the “Sao Vang Dat Viet” award.

Based on the result, Vietnam companies can find the solution to re-orient their human resource quality to meet the social demand.

The report is free for all Vietnam HR Day 2011 delegates and guests, and will be officially announced on Vietnam HR Forum HRLink.vn. Moreover, the report will also be published in some International magazines.

6. The project: “Top 100 Vietnam Best Companies to work for”

It is being carried out like a non-profit project with the application of common method around the world (May be referred to Forbes’ ranking)

Vietnam HR Community, in association with Vinatest and EduViet, will carry the survey in 01 year to gather as much workers’ opinions as possible, to therefore find out 100 Vietnam best companies to work for.The project is expected to attract 50.000 workers in Vietnam, who may express their opinion about approximately 100 large-scale Vietnam enterprises. The project’s result will be published in Vietnam HR Day 2012.

Exposition Vietnam HR Day 2011 introduction

Vietnam HR Day, in general, and Vietnam HR Day 2011 in particular is such a wonderful chance for every company to approach and promote their products and services directly to thousands of companies and HR professionals all over the country – the most potential customers. After the resounding success of Vietnam HR Day 2009 and 2010, with the participation of more than 3.000 guests including entrepreneurs and HR professionals in Vietnam, the sponsorship of more than 50 companies, Vietnam HR Day did prove to be the largest-scale event in Vietnam recently.

❖ Terms and Condition

• Vietnam HR Day Sponsors will receive 01 free consulting booth.

• Companies in some HR –related fields including: Consulting, Education and Training, Recruiting, Assessing, HR studying, labor/job market, etc.

• Companies providing other HR products/services: HR softwares, Timekeepers, Insurance Companies, Banks, Individual Finance, Health care, etc.

• Other companies with HR –related matters concern.

❖ Benefits and Obligations

• 01 consulting booth with 01 desk, 02 chairs and no more than 05 consultants. You are allowed to use any presentation materials, videos; but NOT allowed to use high-capacity speakers without permission from the Organizing Committee.

• The company is allowed to distribute any legal documents at the consulting booth only. The Organizing Committee has the right to suspend every law-violated case in order to keep the appearance and atmosphere of Vietnam HR Day 2011.

• The company is allowed to display the suitable products with the Organizing Committee’s permission. DO NOT display big-size products or the products, which can affects the appearance of the exposition area.

• For the companies with the same payment value, places will be chosen according to the time of signing agreement and receiving payment.

• The company pay all the expenses for backdrop, advertisement standees (with support from the Organizing Committee – Compulsory in Hanoi, direct payment to National Convention Center authorities)

❖ Participation cost:

• Cost: 15.000.000 VNĐ/place/consulting booth or 25.000.000VND/place/02 consulting booths.

• Pay the total cost right after signing agreement.
