Foreign Degree Evaluation

Individuals seeking approval to provide batterers treatment services in the state of Nevada in accordance with NAC 228.110 must provide proof that they possess the appropriate degree necessary to qualify as a supervisor of treatment or a provider of treatment. If the relevant degree was obtained outside of the United States, the individual must present an English evaluation (not just a translation) of their credentials.

The evaluation refers to: ? the quality of the foreign school attended ? the equivalency of the applicant's coursework to the appropriate degree ? the equivalency of the applicant's international scores into a U.S. grade (if applicable)

Individuals seeking approval to provide services within an agency who have attended colleges or universities outside the United States must provide the Division with a detailed report as to degree equivalency, as compared to U.S. regionally approved institutions, and a course-bycourse evaluation* of any college or university level credit completed, from a regionally accredited college or university or independent nationally recognized evaluation agency, approved by the Division.
