Minecraft mods 1. 16. 3 world edit

The best Minecraft mods, in my opinion, don't change the game beyond unrecognizable. They keep Minecraft pretty much as it always has been, but offer new discoveries or solutions to age-old irritations. Below are the very best mods we've found for Minecraft 1.16 ? and the best part is that all these mods can be loaded and played at the same time, while minecraft is still the game you've always known and loved. Best Minecraft mods for 1.16 Thanks to the wonderful thing that is Minecraft Forge, all mods in this list can be played in tandem - no compatibility errors included. So you have no excuse to avoid any of these stellar mods! And yes, they are all up to date with 1.16 (although in some cases you have to find the preview versions of the mod to get the 1.16-compatible versions). Here are the best Minecraft mods 1.16 has to offer: For help in getting Minecraft Forge up and running, you should check out our guide on installing Minecraft Forge! Optifine Download link: Optifine (click preview versions at the top to download for 1.16+!) Required: Nothing - unless you want to run with Forge, in which case you'll also need to download optiForge and MixinBootstrap and place all three jar files in your Minecraft mods folder. What can there be to say about Optifine that hasn't been said a thousand times? It is the most popular Minecraft mod in existence. It dramatically increases the number of customization options for Minecraft's graphics and rendering, making Mojang's notoriously unoptimized behemoth of a game surprisingly performant. Plus it lets you run the best Minecraft shaders 1.16.4 has to offer, making your Minecraft world look more glorious than ever. Download link: Biomes O' Plenty Requires: Nothing! There's a reason for Biomes O' Plenty finding its way to the best Minecraft mods lists online: it's damn good at what it does. This extended mod adds a host of new biome types to Minecraft's world generation, along with dozens of new block types, new leaves, and more. This is an essential mod for injecting renewed life and interest into your Minecraft worlds, and gives you a reason to re-explore the Overworld. Handy Backpacks Download link: Useful backpacks required: You Team Core A simple, lightweight and brilliant mod, Useful Backpacks you craft three levels of backpack, each of which gives you additional inventory storage space. There are many mods out there that give you more inventory slots and the like, but none of them fit into Minecraft's aesthetic and style as useful backpacks do. Nature Compass Looking for more Minecraft guides? Download link: Nature's Compass required: Nothing! Nature's Compass gives you a new item - the titular Nature Compass - that you create by surrounding an ordinary compass with tree trunks and saplings. Right-click this Compass brings up a list of each biome type, and clicking on one will detect the nearest biome of that that and guide you to the location. Indispensable for finding Mooshroom biomes, special types of wood, and much more. Corail Tombstone Download link: Corail Tombstone required: Nothing! Minecraft mods have been providing death chests and other variants of the same concept for years, but few do it as stylishly as Corail Tombstone, which has all your possessions hugely in a nearby tombstone when you die. With all sorts of tombstone customization options, both visual and functional, you'll put Corail Tombstone exactly at work as you wish, and never again suffer the indescribable pain of losing the value of ores and materials of your entire expedition with one careless wrong step. Immersive portals A continuation of the now defunct BetterPortals, Immersive Portals forgo the loading screen and shocking transition as you go through a portal (nether or end), and instead gives you the ability to jump seamlessly through. You even see in real-time what is in the other dimension by looking through the portal. It's great. WorldEdit Download link: WorldEdit required: Nothing! WorldEdit is the ultimate building and construction tool for Minecraft, full stop. With a hugely powerful array of different commands and tools available to you in creative mode, WorldEdit is all but necessary for the timely creation of massive Minecraft construction projects, from adventure maps to colossal structures and landscapes, and pretty much anything you imagine. Using commands you create, copy, and paste different blueprints. you select and fill areas, create shapes such as cylinders and spheres of any size on the fly, and much more. HWYLA (Here's What You're Looking At) Download link: Here's What You're Looking At Requires: Forge or Fabric What HWYLA does, quite simply, is give you a little tooltip when you float your reticule over literally any world item or block, tell you exactly what it is (and, if you want, which mod it comes from). Probably the most lightweight Minecraft mod in this list, it's also right there for the most essential and useful. Why isn't this just part of Minecraft's vanilla by now? Inventory Sorter Download link: Inventory Sorter required: Nothing! Inventory Sorter is a lightweight addon that adds two very simple but very useful mechanics to organizing items in inventories or chests. The first: If you click the middle mouse button in an inventory, all items are automatically sorted inwards. The second: scroll the mouse wheel over an item stack to move the item one by one in your inventory, or vice versa. You owe it to yourself to just use this mod all the time until it is added to Minecraft by default. Clumps Download link: Clumps required: nothing! If you've ever been to an XP farm, you know how to do laggy things When there are hundreds of XP spheres hovering over you like little spherical rage fairies. Fortunately, there are lumps. As you'd expect from the name, these mod clumps clumps multiple nearby spheres in a single sphere, which drastically reduces the amount of work Minecraft needs to do. It also stops that super-annoying problem where the bulbs just keep floating around you without ever being collected. AppleSkin Download link: AppleSkin requires: Forge or Dust you definitely say you understand 100% the saturation mechanic in Minecraft? I can now, and it's all thanks to AppleSkin. Not only does this super-handy little mod tell you how much hunger a food item will complement when you float over it, but it also gives you the saturation level of each item ? a stat that Minecraft hides by default. Fast Leaf Decay Download link: Fast Leaf Decay required: nothing! Here's a mod I never knew I needed in my life. Fast Leaf Decay does exactly what it says on the tin, significantly reducing the time it takes for a trunk-less tree to despawn all its leaf blocks. Instead of waiting a minute or more, the whole process is over in less than two seconds. It is very satisfying, and certainly nicer if you are farming for saplings or apples. SwingThroughGrass Download link: SwingThroughGrass required: Nothing! Now say it to me: long grass sucks. And apparently there are many who share this view because SwingThroughGrass has become one of the most downloaded Minecraft mods for 1.16. Quite simply, this mod you swing a sword or other weapon through long grass, preventing that super-irritating issue of the swing being interrupted by the long grass for no reason. KleeSlabs Download link: KleeSlabs required: Nothing! Rounding out our list of small but useful mods, KleeSlabs rights yet another age-old wrong in Minecraft by having you half-destroy half-plates at a time, instead of mine the whole block and then replace half that you didn't want to remove. Why, oh why, after ten years, do you need a mod to make this one thing? Fix your game, Mojang. And with that, I think we'll wrap up this Minecraft mods discussion. That's quite a sizable array of mods to get started with anyway - some of which fundamentally change the game, but most just make Minecraft a little easier and more enjoyable to deal with. Now why not take a look at our Minecraft shaders 1.16.4 list, where you'll learn how to take beautiful screenshots like the one above! The mod was released worldwide on September 28, 2010 for the hMod platform. [2] It is now available on the CurseForge Website for the Fabric and Forge mod chargers. WorldEdit is one of the most popular mods available. [3] [4] [5] After just over a month after Minecraft's multiplayer update, WorldEdit is also one of the oldest server-side mods. [6] [7] The WorldEdit project, initially started by sk89q,[2] is currently led by Me4502. [8] WorldEdit has been featured on the Minecraft website as one of the most popular building tools. [9] WorldEdit has also been cited in United States Patents[10][11][12] and scientific documents. [13] [14] Many professional minecraft builders and artists use WorldEdit in their projects. [15] [9] [16] [17] [18] WorldEdit's primary feature is to help the player build structures, a core gameplay mechanic of Minecraft. WorldEdit can be used to build almost anything through a variety of tools, such as brushes, block replacements, and more. [19] [20] From September 2019, WorldEdit can be used externally for Minecraft as standalone software. This has led to non-Minecraft projects such as WorldEdit Golf. [1] [2] [4] 2b2t is the oldest anarchy server[a] in Minecraft,[2] as well as one of the oldest running Minecraft servers of any variety. [4] Moreover, 2b2t's world is one of the longest running unchanged server cards in the game, which has never been reset since its inception. [8] [9] [10] Since the server has virtually no rules or authority, grieving[b] and hacking are common among players,[5][6][9][11] without risk of being banned. [8] The server is set to combat the hard difficulty, and player versus player is possible at all times and locations. [7] The server has seen more than 580,000 players explore the procedurally generated card, increasing the file size to more than 9 terabytes. [10] 2b2t has been described in news media as minecraft's worst server due to its playerbase and culture. [4] [9] History An aerial render of the spawn area in July 2019, centered on the center of the map with a diameter of just over 4,000 blocks. The render shows the extreme amount of destruction and modification carried out on the site, including the construction of massive structures such as the prominent Square and Compasses (top right). In a Rock, Paper, Shotgun article by Brendan Caldwell, 2b2t player James Rustles explained about the origin of the server:[6] It used to be a Garry's Mod server, (...) The basic story is that this guy who ran the Garry's Mod server started a Minecraft server with the same premise ? that you do what you want ? and this was then given to one of his friends, who we know as The 2b2t Minecraft server was founded at the end of December 2010. [1] The founders are anonymous,[9] choose to remain unknown or known only via usernames; the most prominent founder is commonly referred to as Hausemaster, HauseMaster, or After being asked by Vice journalist Andrew Paul via email in 2015, the server operator stated: [9] There was no major reason or great idea, it started as a generic Minecraft test server in the fall of 2010 where I and some friends played on the game to play [...] [A]fter a while we decided to open it up to see how much destruction can be made and started advertising in different places on the internet. The server was advertised shortly after its inception on online forums such as 4chan, Facepunch Studios', and Reddit, whose users populated the server by the hundreds due to the total freedom it offered. [9] Members of different forums attacked each other and their bases on the server. [2] The founders eventually stopped playing Minecraft, although the server remained online due to the large player base that had been formed. [9] Except in fixing game-breaking exploits, the server operator is quite hands-off in administrating the server. [4] In June 2013, it was reported that the file size of the 2b2t world

map, which is generated procedurally, was more than 500 gigabytes. [11] By October 2015, storage usage had increased to nearly 800 gigabytes, with the server costing US$90 per month to maintain. On June 1, 2016, YouTuber 'TheCampingRusher' posted a YouTube video in which he played on 2b2t. This caused a huge influx of new players from the channel's audience, as the video was viewed more than two million times in less than four months after its upload. [2] [4] The sudden influx overwhelmed the server and strained the hardware used to host and run it. [4] A loose group of older players came together against these new players. [4] Although the new players, who called themselves Rushers, were largely outnumbered by older players at the time, these older players had years of experience and resources. [4] Some older players deterred new players by destroying the spawn-in area to make it uninhabitable and very challenging to move on from. [2] [4] Some players built in-game constructions designed solely to overload the server, with the intention of making it difficult for TheCampingRusher and his fans to play on. [4] Some posted obscene content around the spawn area and along playerbuilt roads in an attempt to get TheCampingRusher's YouTube taken due to violations of YouTube's service conditions. [4] The new players, despite being discouraged from doing so by TheCampingRusher, had destroyed bases and monuments on the server that had stood for years, which is in part what had led to such a reaction from the player base. [4] In response to the flooded server and hardware, a queue was added to enter the server. [4] The row gave former 2b2t players a about the newer players,[4] although this feature was removed after a year. [12] The regular row moves slowly and can contain more than a thousand players; [2] waiting in it has been described as a tough task. [4] Players can pay $20 to access a separate priority queue for a month. [4] From November 2020 to 2020 card size of 2b2t has increased to more than 9 terabytes from more than 580,000 unique players, according to the server's official subreddit sidebar. [10] Culture Two lava gutters built to block the way for new players from spawning (upper left) to the rest of the map (lower right) Culture of 2b2t and anarchy servers in general is inhospitable and nihilistic. [2] Players usually have to hide supplies and be armed to survive, and can expect to be killed multiple times. [2] This is exacerbated by the server being placed on hard difficulty and player versus player fight enabled, which makes survival significantly more difficult. [7] Old players are often hostile to new players on the server,[4] whom they call newfags. [4] [9] Server-wide chat often includes spam, trolling, and trash-talking,[4] as well as racial invective, death threats, and Nazi propaganda. [2] [6] Links to obscene content and screamer videos are also common. [4] Players often lie to others with the intention of sending them to in-game locations with traps. [4] A common rule among players is not to trust others. [7] Traps are deliberately placed around the area where players first join the server: pits of lava, areas ignited, and portals that create lava or closed areas of obsidian that force players to disconnect and reconnect, waiting through the queue again. [2] [6] Some players create large obstacles called lava casting, in which water and lava are repeatedly poured from stairs of stone, creating mountains of jagged stone. [6] These structures surround the spawning area and many are as high as the height limit of the map. [11] There are occasionally events referred to as spawn raids, in which dozens of players come together to take control of spawn for a time, to build a large base, kill many new players, or destroy other bases. [6] Inexperienced players can take many attempts and several hours to escape the spawn area. [6] [9] [4] The most common cause of death on the server is starvation of being unable to escape the spawning area. [7] A player can last around 1,500 blocks of travel without food before dying of starvation. [6] Newsweek's Roisin Kiberd speculated that enduring the challenge may be part of the 2b2t appeal: since no one survives long, there is a pride in having died there. [2] Experienced players live far away from the spawn area in relative safety to play and build the game. [2] The map is less destroyed further away from spawning,[7][9] allowing for trees and animals. [6] Player-built roads are used to travel from spawn. [7] [6] The server has no etiquette regarding ownership; what is built can be destroyed at any time if found by other players. [4] This destruction, known as mourning, is so commonplace on the server that Brendan Caldwell of Rock, Paper, Shotgun described it as just a form of weather. [6] Despite this culture of hostility and destruction, there is an event every April Fools' Day in which the server server a few days another card and players can get together and work together. [6] Players often use a hacked client, which is a modified version of Minecraft with skills not in the standard game client, such as X-ray vision, enhanced arc target, and radar. [6] [2] These customers help tremendously in allowing the player to navigate and survive the environment. [4] [6] [2] Players without these customers are at a disadvantage. [6] Reception News media 2b2t is known as the worst Minecraft server. [4] Both Robert Guthrie of Kotaku and Andrew Paul of Vice have named the server the worst in Minecraft. [4] [9] Paul described the server as a fantastic world of possibilities and horror. [9] Brendan Caldwell of Rock, Paper, Shotgun described 2b2t as the game's most obscene server. [6] In June 2012, PCGamesN's Craig Pearson named it Minecraft's most offensive server, noting the heartlessness and obscenity of 2b2t in the form of language, swastikas and its hostile player base. [7] In 2013, a PCGamesN article from Jeremy Peel announced Minecraft's built-in server hosting service Minecraft Realms and stated that it would keep children away from 2b2t, an implication of the server's unsafe environment. [13] In 2014, Tim Edwards wrote in a PCGamesN article about their purchase of Minecraft that they should not become prissy about player creations, stating that 2b2t is still a great achievement, with or without the swastikas. [14] In both Newsweek and The Independent, Roisin kiberd described 2b2t as an evil form of Minecraft, a place of beauty and terror. Kiberd called the server hell, stating that it is not safe for life, as the server gives the free rein of [players'] darkest impulses. Kiberd concluded that the main attraction of playing on the server comes from learning the capabilities of a server with few limits, as well as remaining the hostile environment. [2] [15] A 2013 IGN article and video listed 2b2t's spawn area as one of the six best things in Minecraft, describing the server as the boss of Minecraft servers, a celebration of destruction and indifference. The article noted 2b2t's propensity for griefing, the use of hacked customers, and player-built obscenities; and stated that players with thick skin should visit 2b2t at least once. [11] Comparing the mannerisms of those at 2b2t to cases of religious violence in the real world, Katherine Apostolacus described the anarchic nature of 2b2t as how Minecraft was to be played. She described how a rich history has developed within the server since its inception, with the cataloguing of events within 2b2t finding an audience than those who have played on the server. [5] Later, as I pass a floating swastika while shrugging off the latest barrage of Insults... I realize maybe 2b2t does not represent the pinnacle of human ingenuity. But it can still serve another purpose: to map a collective mindscape, our virtual ID, visualized and and for all times. The highs, the lows, the nagging voices of criticism, the thoughts we'd rather not share ? who hasn't felt all this at some point? In some ways, 2b2t is a more accurate representation of humanity than I initially thought. Whether intended by its creators, the game gives images to an unbridled stream of populist consciousness, the total summation of a particular segment of our species. 2b2t is like any other human spirit: An infinitely expanding plane, filled with ideas both beautiful and terrifying, with the occasional voice on the wind making you feel like a fucking idiot. [9]- The Worst Place in Minecraft, Vice (2015) Books In Introduction to Game Design, Prototyping, and Development, published by Pearson Education in June 2014, 2b2t was described as a barren hellscape, with as its nature the ultimate expression of the game's core mechanic, referring to Minecraft's open natural sandbox. [16] The Ultimate Minecraft Creator, published by Triumph Books in July 2014, stating that despite the offensive language and behavior of 2b2t, mourning and cheating, the server can be fun for some players: This server is really like no other, and in fact it's like no other thing in gaming. As people cheat wildly, grieve relentlessly and absolutely wreck the area for thousands of blocks around spawning, 2b2t's landscape turns into a nightmare wasteland that you probably won't survive. Be warned: 2b2t is not for the weak of heart or the sensitive. You will die, people will attack you and wreck/steal what you have, and you will most likely run into some offensive language and behavior here. That being said, it's an experience like no other and totally fun, when you're ready for what awaits you. [17]-- The Ultimate Minecraft Creator: The Unofficial Building Guide to Minecraft and Other Games (July 1, 2014) Master Builder 3.0 Advanced and Ultimate Guide to Mastering Minigames and Servers, published by Triumph Books in April 2015 and April 2016 respectively, both stated that 2b2t is among online royalties when it comes to public [Minecraft servers] respectively. [18] [19] Renders A render of 2b2t's spawn region starting at the end of 2017, displaying the various layers of spawn with progressive destruction going inward toward the center of the world. The render shows the -X (western) axis of the world map from 400 to 3,000 blocks from the center of the map. A render from the same perspective from February 2020, which, compared to the render to the left, shows how the destruction of the spawning area has greatly increased over time. A render of the spawn area of 2b2t from June 2019, which provides an alternative side view in isometric projection of the render in the History section. Notes ^ In the context of Minecraft, an anarchy server becomes as a multiplayer server with scarce or no rules,[5][6][7] with no possibility of being banned from it. [8] ^ In this context, griefing refers to the act of destroying or vandalism of other other creations without permission. [2] References ^ a b c . Archived from the original on March 18, 2013.
