Connect to NYMC_SECUREWindows SetupWindows 7, 8, 10Remove NYMC_SECURE from the remembered Wireless connections if it was connected previously. Select Open Network and Sharing Center.Select Set up a new Connection or network.Select Manually Connect to a wireless Network (or Manually create network profile)Click Next.In the Network Name enter: NYMC_SECURE (ALL UPPERCASE).In the Security Type select: WPA2-Enterprise and in the Encryption type: AES prefills. (Leave the check mark for Start this connection automatically). Click Next.Select Change connection settings.Then click Security and Uncheck remember my credentials for this connection each time I logged on.Click Settings then..Windows 7:?Remove check mark for Validating the Certificate.Windows 8:?Uncheck box stating verify the server's identity by validating the certificate.Click Configure then..Windows 7:?remove the check mark next to automatically use my Windows Logon name and password.Windows 8:?verify automatically use my Windows Logon name and password box is unchecked.Close all open windows.Search for the NYMC_SECURE network and click connect.Enter Your NYMC email address and NYMC Password.Retype email address and password if first login fails.May state limited for a few seconds while connecting.Windows VistaTurn on the wireless device.Right click Network icon on your desktop then Properties.Select Manage Wireless Network on the left side bar.Click ADD, and select Manually create a network profile.In the Network Name enter: NYMC_SECURE (ALL UPPERCASE).In the Security Type select: WPA-Enterprise and in the Encryption type: Select TKIP (Leave the check mark for Start this connection automatically).Select Change connection settings.Then click Security and uncheck Cache user information for subsequent connections to this network.Click Settings... Remove check mark from Validate Server Certificate box.Click Configure and remove the check mark next to Automatically use my Windows Logon name and password then click OK on all pop-up windows.Double click the wireless pop up window saying: Additional information is required to connect to NYMC_SECURE.Enter Your NYMC logon User name and NYMC Password. Do not type anything in the domain field.Retype user name and password if first login fail.Mac SetupMac OSX v.10.6 - 10.11.1The steps may differ in newer releases, but the information below is still accurateClick Airport or Wireless radio located in the top-right taskbar.Select NYMC_SECURE.Enter your NYMC Username and Password.Set 802.1X to Automatic and then a place a check mark in the Remember this network.Press OKClick Airport or Wireless radio located in the top-right taskbar.Scroll down and select Open Network Preferences.In the Network Name dropdown-menu select NYMC_SECUREIn the 802.1X: WPA:NYMC_SECURE Click Connect one time.Now you can close Network Wireless Setup window.Enter your NYMC Username and Password (Only if the setup requires the username and password and then click Ok). ................
