Scholz, SO-CMExecutive SummaryTwo deployments of Division 11 radio facilities in support of Sector San Diego are scheduled for June and July. The power point MT presentation entitled “AUXCOMMs Century 21” will be given at a meeting of a radio club in Big Bear later this summer for recruiting purposes. The plan to enhance message handling capabilities on VHF radio has been approved and will be implemented with on-line training and a new VHF net beginning near the end of June.DetailsThe 11-5 communications trailer and Ontario Mobile Nine will be deployed as a part ofthe SSD Full Scale COOP exercise in mid-July. Additional operators have been recruited from Division 11 and Division 6. Sector San Diego has requested AUX communications support from Division 11 for a planned Rescue 21 maintenance outage at the end of June. Ontario Mobile 9 will deploy to Point Loma for that outage. It will be manned by Division 11 personnel and by active duty personnel from Sector San Diego JHOC. The MT training presentation that addresses all of the potential activities that are available to AUX members who are interested in communications will be given to the Big Bear Radio Club as a recruiting effort. The request to present it was originated by the FC of 11-12. As mentioned in earlier reports, an initiative has been begun at the District level to create a VHF radio capability for handling message traffic. That will start with some on-line training sessions at the end of June and will continue with the establishment of a new VHF radio net focused solely on message handling in mid- to late summer. Flotilla 11-5 and Flotilla 11-11 have reported progress on implementation of mechanisms to comply with the District requirement for Personnel Accountability and Assessment.CSCOMMUNICATION SERVICES ~ Clarence M. Scholz, SO-FNExecutive Summary:Detail:● Balance in checking account as of May 15, 2019 was $11,004.65● There were no receipts:● There were the following expenses: o District 11, New Member Dues for Hector Castaneda 11-11 40.50● Balance in checking account as of June 19, 2019 is $10,964.15● I have received notification from Virgil Campbell that all auxiliary expenses are to be paid by check with two signatures. We are not to use online banking, credit or debit cards. I believe this policy is archaic and puts a tremendous burden on the finance officer. The policy will also delay reimbursements.● One Member owes $30.00 for the Brunch● We need to decide how much to charge for Division renewal dues for 2020. A firm decision needs to be made by the June meeting, as the information needs to be given to District before July 1, 2019. The flotillas also need to assess their dues and have the information to me before July 1, 2019. If I do not receive the information, I will use the same amounts as last year. I have yet to hear from Flotillas 11-7 and 11-12.ISINFORMATION SERVICES ~ Robert G. Tanner, SO-ISExecutive Summary:Details: All information sent to Rob has been entered.
