MATHEMATICS NOTES

MATHEMATICS NOTES

1. Notes are to be kept on lined 3-hole punched paper in a three-ring binder.

2. Notes are to be neatly written in pen or pencil. Homework and tests/quizzes are to be completed in pencil, so errors can be neatly erased.

3. Notes are to be complete, up-to-date, neat, and well-organized. Therefore, if you are absent for a class, it is your responsibility to catch up on missed notes. As a friend for missed handouts and complete the homework.

4. Each unit within your binder should contain:

a) Lesson Notes

b) Homework

c) Review Problems

d) Tests/Quizes/Corrections

5. All tests/quizzes must be corrected and stored in your notebook for your reference when preparing for future evaluations. All test solutions will be made available to you @ xaviermath9..

NOTE: All test corrections must be done on a separate sheet of paper, so that corrections are made clear. Reviewing your corrections will help you to avoid making the same mistake on future evaluations.

6. Each note and homework must include: the Date and Title (underlined)

7. Each homework question (including diagrams) is to be copied into your notes, and you must show all of your work, otherwise your homework will be considered INCOMPLETE!

8. Each mathematical solution is to follow good form, just as they are worked out in class.

9. Your answers can be checked with a reliable study partner, text, or teacher notes that are posted online.

*Remember to make many mistakes! We learn more from our mistakes because one question leads to many questions and many questions leads our inquiries into deeper levels of understanding *

Note: It is not possible to remember everything that was covered in the course over the entire semester. Good notes will help you prepare for the examination and also provide you with a quick and easy reference guide in future mathematics courses.
