Full Set of Logbook Pages

OverviewThe work experience record is a verified record of experience linked to specific equipment types or management activity, and as such can be used to support your employer’s work authorisation procedures.Where the work you have done is subject to a confidentiality agreement you may need to consult your employer/client before making an entry in this section. Each entry should relate to a period of similar work or a project, with a duration of between one and six months. It is not intended that this section should be used as a daily work record. By keeping this record up to date, you can provide the IRSE’s competence assessor with evidence that you are maintaining your skills and competence in licensable work, and use the record to support any application you make for an IRSE licence, renewal or revalidation (through the surveillance process) of an existing licence. It is part of the record of your continuing professional development (CPD) and you are encouraged to reflect in the “Comments” column how you undertook the activity, what you learnt and any follow-up actions pleting the work experience formEnter your name and IRSE membership or licence number on each page, and consecutively number the pages within the section. Completed pages are to be retained to support your employer’s work authorisation procedures and licence competence assessments. Two examples are shown. One may be typical for the holder of a maintainers licence and the other may be typical for the holder of a designer licence.Enter the dates for the period in the column ‘Dates From/To:Enter your employer’s name, (or the client’s name if working on a contract), in the column ‘Employer/Client’.Enter a concise description of the work undertaken, including the project name and where appropriate the equipment type/s, and cross reference to the relevant licence category. You may use the comments to record your assessment of the work experience and any follow-up action undertaken. Ask your supervisor or line manager to verify the entry in the record by signing the verification column. They should include their name and job title and also their licence number if applicable. A verification signature with the name and job title is required to confirm the entries. The person signing the entry must also have completed the witness status list. Once this was complete I reviewed the error log produced and recorded my action on the log and signed it off before re submitting my design. I carried out version control in accordance with the Design specification. I discussed issues with the CRE and recorded any decisions in the design log.I attended progress meetings to ensure that I understood any changes to scope, and reported progress against the project plan to the CRE Design./PM.Signalling Designer1.1.510This design was quite complex as it included parallel design, and complex fringe arrangements.
