Study of Decision-Making Processes

Debriefing Statement

This study you have just completed was designed to investigate decision-making processes. In this study two decision biases were assessed: The framing effect and the hindsight effect. These two decision biases often unconsciously influence our everyday decisions. The framing questions and the hindsight questions use different working and context, or provide additional pieces of information to influence you choices. We are particularly interested in the relationship between these two decision biases to see whether people who are susceptible to one are also susceptible to the other.

Thank you for your participation and for not discussing the contents of the decision question with other students. If you have any questions about the study, please feel free to contact YOUR NAME or Professor FACULTY ADVISOR’S NAME at FACULTY ADVISOR PHONE NUMBER. If you would like to obtain a copy of the group results of this study, please contact Professor ADVISOR’S NAME at ADVISOR’S OFFICE NUMBER at the end of (Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer) Quarter of 20___.
