SURVEILLANCE 2017-2018

The Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries (VDGIF) is conducting CWD surveillance during the 2017-2018 hunting season. If a hunter harvests a deer within the CWD Containment Area (anywhere in all of Frederick, Clarke, Shenandoah, or Warren Counties) on November 18th or November 25th, the hunter must bring the deer to one of the eleven (11) locations listed below for CWD sampling (Map on Back):

1. Crossroads Grocery, 119 Cedar Grove Road, Winchester, VA. (Rte. 522 north @ Chapel Hill Road; store is on the right)

2. T & R Processing, 691 Carpers Valley Road, Winchester, VA. (Rte. 50 east, left on Carpers Valley Road, on the left at the Frederick-Clarke line)

3. Gore Grocery, 305 Gore Road, Gore, VA. (Rte. 50 west, left on Gore Road, store on left)

4. Round Hill Shopping Center, 2578 Northwestern Pike, Winchester, VA (From Winchester take Rte 50 west, store is on the right, Shell gas in front)

5. Graden's Supermarket, 6836 John Marshall Highway, Lebanon Church, VA. (Exit 296 on I-81, take Rte. 55 west through Lebanon Church, store on right)

6. Cline's Store, 19004 Senedo Road, Edinburg, VA (Formerly "Larkin's Store") (Exit 283 on I-81, Rte. 42 south to just south of Columbia Furnace, store on left)

7. Clarke County Fairgrounds, 890 W Main St. Berryville, VA (Exit 315 on I-81, take Rte. 7 east to W Main St., Fairgrounds entrance on left)

8. Town & Country Superette, 876 Conicville Road, Mt. Jackson, VA (Rte 42 to Conicville Rd in Conicville)

9. Fort Valley Country Store, 7091 Fort Valley Road (678), Fort Valley, VA (675 to 678 N, or 55/Strasburg Rd to 678 S)

10. Foodway Supermarket, 2868 Stonewall Jackson Highway, Bentonville, VA (Interstate 66 to 340 S., stay on 340 S)

11. Riverton Shell Gas Station, 10178 Winchester Rd, Front Royal, VA (Exit 6 off of I-66, US340/US522 South towards Front Royal, station on the right)
