Spells to break Hexes, Curse, Evil Spells, and Black Magic

Spells to Break Hexes, Curses, Evil Spells, and Black Magic

Casting spells can be done by praying, chanting, singing, rhyming, speaking [out loud or inside your head] and/or writing out - in other words, visualizing and focusing in on the need. A good time to cast a spell is during the waxing moon [from New Moon to Full Moon]. Waxing moons are “growing” - helping your spell to grow. However, a beautiful, sunny day is just as appropriate. Try to make sure that when you “do” your spell, you are as comfortable and stress-free as possible.

The first thing is …

If you believe implicitly in hexes, curses, evil spells, and black magic, then you’ve got some hard, hard work ahead of you. YOU MUST NOT BELIEVE IN THESE THINGS. YOU CANNOT BELIEVE IN THESE THINGS. And, I guarantee that if you take your belief away, you will be able to reduce a curse to practically nothing. So, the first step is

LAUGHTER. Laugh in the face of the “devil” that plagues you. And when you laugh, say repeatedly to yourself that you DO NOT believe.

“Must Have” Items

Three items that have been used and revered since ancient times as very protective against negative energies - flint [crystal], rowan [herb], and circles [symbol]. In addition to your laughter, it is these three items that you should have in any spell to break hexes, curses, evil spells, and black magic.

Flint is used [amongst other things] for enhancing the feelings of “brother/sisterhood” and for positive thought transference. In other words, flint ensures that negative energies are dispersed and dispelled [including hauntings]. BUT flint can also produce positive energies to “return” to the person who has cast against you - a good and positive lesson for that person to learn. [Depending on where you live, flint can be hard to find [and therefore, purchase]. So, if you do have trouble locating flint, just buy “flints” for cigarette lighters - tiny, yes, but effective.]

Rowan [mountain ash] is used as protection against evil, storms, and hauntings. Wood from a Rowan tree can be fashioned as wands, crosses, dowsing sticks, amulets, and walking sticks. Rowan berries have the added bonus of healing energies. So, like flint, rowan [wood or berries] helps dispel and disperse negative energies; whereas, rowan berries can also return positive energies to the person who has cast against you. [All you need to do is find a rowan tree and cut off a twig with berries on it. Of course, please ask permission if it’s not your tree.]

Circles as a symbol [at the very least] arose from the sun and the moon. Because the presence of these two “planets” ensure that we have life, food, and abundance on our Mother planet of Earth, it’s easy to see that circles are protective. But, also, because circles have neither a beginning nor an end, circles can ENCLOSE you in protective energies; and therefore, can dispel negative energies. [There are so many ways to create circles, someone could write a whole book. But for the purpose of this spell sheet, the easiest and simplest “circle” to create is to walk a circle clockwise starting in the east [rising sun] and stopping momentarily at the other cardinal points [south: noonday sun, west: setting sun, north: moon]. To close the circle, end in the east. As you’re doing this, think/say “I am protected.”]

Colours, Candle s, and Aromatherapy & Scents

Mixing colours, candles, and scents is very easy to do AND can add to the energy/synergy of a spell. Nevertheless, you can just simply wear colours and scents. Or you can use the scents in atomizers, room sprays, and simmering pots or add a couple of drops to the hot wax when a candle is burning. So, feel perfectly free to be creative.

Wear the following three colours everyday for general protection. Blue for protection, calmness, healing, and peaceful sleep. White for purity, innocence, peace, and protection. Black to banish negativity. You can burn candles in the same colours and visualize or focus on general protection.

Burn a pink candle and wish gentle loving for the person who has cast against you. Rose scents and rose candles add the element of peacefulness - for yourself and for the person who has cast against you. [Rose also is anti-stress.] The same applies for wearing rose or pink.

Ditto for lavender - wearing, burning candles, scent. Lavender provides calmness and stress reduction. [In addition, jasmine, neroli, and sandalwood are also anti-stress.]

Add courage with musk. Add any of the spices - cloves, cinnamon, vanilla - to be uplifted. Add jasmine, patchouli, and sandalwood for self-confidence.

Since ancient times, myrrh - as a scent or as an amulet - has been used to break hexes or strings of bad luck.

Purple exorcizes negative feelings and heals serious disease [and let’s face it, the person casting against you has a “serious dis-ease”].

Wear black and/or burn a black candle and visualize negativity being dispelled and dispersed from you.

Wear black to absorb and banish negativity. Black is not an evil colour. In fact, black, more than white, dispels negative energies.

Symbols

Dreamcatchers “trap” nightmares within the netted portion of the catcher, whereas, good dreams easily find their way through the central hole so that you can enjoy pleasant dreams. Dreamcatchers will also capture and trap hexes, curses, and evil spells. However, ensure that you cleanse your dreamcatcher everyday in a bright sunny window, salt, or rice to disperse the “active” negative energy of the hex, curse, or evil spell.

Knots, particularly Celtic knots, are worn for protection. The easiest way to wear a Celtic knot is in a ring. Celtic knots arise from the mating behaviour of snakes. So, snakes, too, are considered protective.

Pentagrams, pentacles, Star of Solomon, and the Egyptian Eye of Horus are all considered protective. Wear as amulets or talismans to protect against curse, hexes, demons and evil spirits.

Angels

All four of the Archangels can be prayed to deliver you from hexes, curses, and evil spells. Praying to all four archangels in the order of the compass directions below will help you “draw” a circle. When “drawing” your circle, picture not only yourself being protected; please also picture the person who’s cast against you being encircled by POSITIVE energies. [Please note, too, that another “circle” is “drawn” with the order of the seasons.]

Pray to Michael in the east, thinking of summer. He is the champion against adversity. Ask him for protection.

Pray to Uriel in the south, thinking of autumn. He is the angel of retribution and can be asked to show the person who has cast against you the errors of his or her ways.

Pray to Gabriel in the west, thinking of winter. He is the deliverer of good news and mercy - the good news that you are safe and protected - but, also, mercy for the person who has cast against you.

Pray to Raphael in the north, thinking of spring. He is the universal healer and can be asked to heal your own hurt and pain as well as the hurt and pain of the person who has cast against you.

Pray to your own guardian angel or spirit guide to protect you. Any family, friends, and loved ones who have passed into the light are also guardian angels.

Crystals and Stones

Use the following stones is to dispel and disperse “negative” energies from you. Placing any of these stones on your communication chakra will aid in “sending” the dispelling and dispersal messages to the person who has hexed, cursed, or cast an evil spell. Underlined stones will be the easiest to find. Wear the stones as necklaces, bracelets, rings, or earrings, or even just place them in your pockets and wallets.

For peace and protection: moonstone, obsidian, Apache Tears, pearls, mother of pearl, shells.

For courage and self-confidence: aquamarine, carnelian, topaz, citrine, rubies.

To dispel dysfunctional energies: all of the agates, particularly angelwing agate, jasper.

To dispel hostility: ajoite, augelite, chlorite, graphite [any pencil will do], hemimorphite, joaquinite, larsenite, red opal, sugilite, thundereggs, touchstone, woodhouseite.

To dispel prejudice: ajoite, ametrine, cassiterite, mixite, sugilite.

To dispel psychic attack: aegirine, betafite, carrollite, limonite, particularly carnelian combined with chlorite & ruby.

To dispel “paranormal” negative energies: flint and all of the agates. [Agate, too, has been used since ancient times to connect with the spiritual world - whether it is spirit guides, angels, ancestors, or ghosts. Agate also has the additional quality of grounding - so neither the participants nor the spirits can “go over the top”!]

Silver cleanses and helps to release negativity.

Herbs and Old Wives’ Tales & Spells

To break hexes, curses, or evil spells [underlined are easy herbs to find]:

Place and carry in a sachet the following herbs: bamboo, huckleberry, hydrangea bark, and/or squill.

Powder and then burn the following herbs: bamboo, galangal, hydrangea bark, and/or vetivert root.

Scatter, sprinkle, or spread the following herbs around your house: chili peppers [dried or seeds], datura, hydrangea bark, and/or the combination of mint and wintergreen.

 Grow bamboo near your house.

At Full Moon, brew an infusion of pokeweed and sprinkle [or spray] around your home.

Either wear a shirt woven of thistle fibers [ouch!] or stuff thistles into a poppet. Use holy thistle in a bath.

 Use toadflax in an amulet.

Brew an infusion of wahoo bark. Either rub [or trace in the shape of a cross or both] on the hexed person’s forehead, saying “Wahoo” seven times.

For general protection: cedar, garlic, geraniums, honesty [money plants], marigolds, and onions.

Rowan [mountain ash] planted around your house will protect you, but planted in stone circle makes the protection stronger, so plant a stone circle around your rowan.
