Introduction

The Galileo Desktop will install a set of Galileo International Scripts during the installation process .

These scripts will appear in Custom Viewpoint window.

The purpose of the Custom Viewpoint Scripts for the Galileo Desktop is to enhance the existing suite of Viewpoint scripts provided by Galileo International.

These scripts were created based of the needs of when a Viewpoint user would need to switch to a command window to make the specific entry that otherwise was not achievable the GUI way.

Requirements

? Galileo Desktop must be installed and functioning and tested before installing scripts.

IMPORTANT: Windows NT Administration password is required.

Assumptions

This guide is intended to document the process for installing the Galileo Southern Cross Scripts for Galileo Desktop

1. The user has already installed The Galileo Desktop 4.01 and has been used and is considered a successful installation.

2. The drive locations will vary depending on your server environment. For this document, the following standards apply:

? Drive A designates the floppy drive ? Drive D designates the local drive of the FP Directories. ? Drive E designates the local CD-ROM drive. ? Drive F designates the Server FP directories ? Drive G designates the Galileo Kits location. ? Drive V designates the Server CD-ROM drive.

? ENSURE YOU ARE LOGGED IN AS THE ADMINISTRATOR ? ENSURE THE GALILEO DESKTOP IS CLOSED Locate the file apac-setup.exe.

? Double Click on the install file.

? Click Next

This is required for choosing which weekly briefing is installed and also which plate to use for issuing test coupon tickets.

? Highlight the country you are in and Click Next

Select Options screen displays. The option is to keep an existing toolbar or replace with the new defaults. For new standard installations this will need to be left checked.

The scripts will locate your SWDIR directory.

? Click Next A fuel gauge will flash past at this point. This screen should appear next.

? Click Finish

Custom Viewpoint Appearance

The CUSTOM VIEWPOINT WINDOW appears across the base of the Viewpoint screen. It cannot be moved/expanded/minimised. To Toggle the Custom Viewpoint window via keyboard strokes are as follows: When in Viewpoint mode select ALT, V, V. They cannot be viewed while in Focalpoint mode.

Custom Toolbar Appearance

The CUSTOM VIEWPOINT TOOLBAR appears across the top if the Galileo Desktop screen. It can be moved. Floated or docked to the left or right sides also. To Toggle the Custom Toolbar window via keyboard strokes are: When in Viewpoint mode the select ALT, V, C. It cannot be displayed/hidden while in Focalpoint mode though the toolbar will still display as is usable in this mode.
