This application form must be accompanied by the following:

a. PROJECT DESCRIPTION – Attach a project description of no more than two single-spaced pages, explaining in jargon-free language that can be understood by non-specialists. Specifically, please include the following: (a) what you plan to do, (b) the significance of the work, (c) the methods you will use, (d) how the funding will be used, and (e) what specifically you expect to be able to accomplish with the help of this award. Attach other supporting documents that you feel would be helpful in reviewing your application, such as matching funds or publishing commitments, offers of other support, etc. Also attach a list of references cited in the application. (The support documents and reference list do not count in the page limit.)

N.B. The description should indicate how the project will contribute to the field of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies.

b. CURRICULUM VITAE – Attach a c.v of no more than 3 pages which will include relevant professional and work experiences, service to the University and a bibliography of recent or relevant publications, creative works or activities.

Stipulations to be attached to acceptance of the grant

a. The grant is an award to support the research or creative activity described in the PROJECT DESCRIPTION of the application.

b. Recipients agree to acknowledge the support of the grant and the University in

publications, exhibitions, or performances that grow out of the grant.

c. Recipients agree to file, within 6 months following the grant’s expiration, a written report with the Director of the Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Program. Either a 500-word abstract detailing the activity carried out with the help of the grant, or an article or paper resulting from this activity should be submitted. Also, recipients agree to present a report of the activity carried out with the help of the grant at a Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies colloquium or program within the academic year following the grant’s expiration.
