Art Lessons:Reception: Paul Klee01524000The Castle and the Sun is one of Paul Klee’s most iconic works of art. It’s a mix of colours and geometric shapes like squares, triangles and diamond shapes along with a huge circle for the sun.?This week I would like you to have a go at creating your own Paul Klee inspired artwork. You could use blocks to print like in this example, or you could use card/paper to cut out different shapes and stick them down. Be as creative as you like and have fun! Year 1: -330202730500This is a lovely abstract art idea; you can divide a page into quarters, and fill in with opposing colours.??1. Fold a piece of paper in half both ways. Trace folds with a pencil.2. Draw a simple line drawing of a cat or something else that fills up 3/4 of the paper.3. Use a black marker to trace all the pencil lines. 4. Colour the cat and background with a choice of oil pastel colours/pencils/felt tips etc. The colours are to change whenever a line is crossed.Year 2: Magazine Art -901702222500Cut out some face features from a magazine, eyes, nose, mouth, ears etc and arrange them to create your own face. I have included some template, but feel free to draw your own or print a different one.Hope you enjoy the activities; you can of course adapt them or do one from a different year group. Be creative and have fun! Stay safe. Miss Turner ................
