Honors Biology Homework Assignment SheetStudent_____________________________ Parent Signature_____________________________________Dear Parent/Guardian,The purpose of this homework sheet is to inform students of upcoming quizzes, test, labs, vocabulary terms, and remind them of homework assignments, which are EVERGY school night. Most assignments will not require more than 30 minutes UNLESS the student has put off doing their work nightly and is playing catch up! The second purpose of this homework sheet is to help keep parents/guardiansinformed of what is required of their child to be successful in this course. Most homework assignments are checked at beginning of class to see if students have done the assignment. Assignments should be in class notebook or journal depending on assignment. Students who cannot produce their work when teacher comes by to spot check receive a ZERO for that assignment, half done work is work not done, work copied from another students paper is a ZERO for both students. I know things happen so everyone gets one free pass from not having their homework. (This does not apply for projects and writing assignments which will still have to be completed).Writing assignments that are poorly done or incomplete will be rewritten until correct. First time is the charm! Organizational skills, time management, honesty, reading and writing are just a few of the Life Skills we work on in Biology. After the 2nd time of not having homework an after school detention will be assigned. ANY ASSIGNMENT NOT TURNED IN WHEN ASKED FOR OR NOT PLACED IN THE ASSIGNED CLASS TRAY WILL NOT BE EXCEPTED WHEN IT MYSTERYIOUSLY APPEARS ON MY DESK OR ELSE WHERE DAYS LATER. ASSIGNMENTS WITH NO NAME OR INLEGIABLE NAMES WILL NOT RECEIVE CREDIT. This homework sheet is usually given on Mondays and is expected to be signed by parents/guardians and returned by the student the following Monday. (The student has 1 week to get this signed, they will receive a homework grade of 100 for returning this sheet or 0 for not returning the signed sheet). I will not take it Late!Monday2-1-16 Essentian Question: 2-1-16Is a virus a living organism and why do you think scientist debated this question for years? Back up your answer with at least 5 facts.
