Amazing Grace

Key of E

(A capella)

Amazing grace! how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me!

‘Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far, and grace will lead me home.

Key Change

Calling My Children Home

A Cappella

Those lives were mine to love and cherish. To guard and guide along life’s way.

Oh God forbid that one should perish. That one alas should go astray.

Back in the years with all together, Around the place we’d romp and play.

So lonely now and oft’ times wonder, Oh will they come back home some day.

I’m lonesome for my precious children, They live so far away.

Oh may they hear my calling...calling.. And come back home some day.

I gave my all for my dear children, Their problems still with love I share,

I’d brave life’s storm, defy the tempest To bring them home from anywhere.

I lived my life my love I gave them, To guide them through this world of strife,

I hope and pray we’ll live together, In that great glad here after life.

I’m lonesome for my precious children, They live so far away.

Oh may they hear my calling...calling.. And come back home some day.

Now I'm so happy, no sorrow in sight. Praise the Lord, I saw the Light.

Just like the blind man, I wandered along, Worries and fears, I claimed for my own.

Then like the blind man, that God gave back his sight. Praise the Lord, I saw the Light.

Now I have traded, the wrong for the right. Praise the Lord, I saw the Light.

Palms of Victory

A Cappella

I saw the wayward traveler, in tattered garments clad

And struggling up the mountain, it seemed that he was sad

His back was laden heavy, his strength was almost gone

Yet he shouted as he traveled, "Deliverance will come!"

Chorus

Then palms of victory, crowns of glory

Palms of victory, I shall wear

I saw him in the evening, the sun was bending low

He had overcome the mountain, and reached the vale below

He saw the golden city, his everlasting home

And shouted loud, "Hosanna! Deliverance will come!"

Chorus

While gazing on the city, just o'er the narrow flood

A band of holy angels came from the throne of God

They bore him on their pinions safe o'er the dashing foam

And joined him in his triumph, "Deliverance has come!"

Chorus

It seems I hear the Angels, around the throne so grand,

they’re shouting “Glad Hosanna”, we’ve reached the promiseland.

When we have reached that city, our race on earth we’ve run,

We’ll all shout loud, “ Hosanna! Deliverance has come!"

Chorus (3 times)

Mississippi Squirrel Revival

Well when I was a kid I would take a trip, Every summer down to "Mississipp,"

To visit my Granny and her antebellum world. I'd run barefooted all-day long,

Climbing trees free as a song; One day I happened to catch myself a squirrel.

Well I stuffed him down in an old shoe box, And punched a couple holes in the top;

When Sunday came I snuck him in the Church.

I was sittin' way back on the very last pew Showin' em' to my good buddy Hugh,

When that squirrel got loose and went totally berserk.

Well what happened next is hard to tell;

Some thought it was Heaven others thought it was Hell,

But the fact that something was among was plain to see.

As the choir sang " I Surrender All", The squirrel ran up Harv Newman's coveralls,

And Harv leaped to his feet and said something's got a hold on me!

Chorus

The day the squirrel went berserk In the First Self-Righteous Church

In that sleepy little town of Pascagoula. It was a fight for survival

That broke out in revival. They were jumpin' pews and shoutin' "Hallelujah".

Well Harv hit the aisles dancin' and screamin'.,

Some thought he had religion others thought he had a demon,

And Harv thought he had a weed-eater loose in his fruit-of-the-looms.

He fell to his knees to plead and beg, And the squirrel ran out of his britches leg;

Unobserved to the other side of the room. All the way down to the AMEN pew,

Where sat Sister Bertha Better-than-You,

Who had been watching all of the commotion with sophistic glee.

But shoot, you should have seen the look in her eyes

When that squirrel jumped her garters and crossed her thighs.

And she jumped to her feet and said, "Lord have mercy on me."

As that squirrel mad laps inside her dress She began to cry and then to confess,

To sins that would make a sailor blush with shame.

She told of gossip, and church dissention, But the thing that got the most attention

Was when she talked about her love life and then she started naming names.

Chorus

Well seven deacons and the pastor got saved, And twenty-five thousand dollars got raised, And fifty volunteered for missions in the Congo on the spot.

And even without an invitation There were at least five hundred re-dedications,

and we all got re-baptized whether we needed it or not.

Now you've heard the Bible story I guess

Of how He parted the waters for Moses to pass.

Oh the Miracles God has wrought in this old world.

But the one I'll remember till my dying day

Is how He put that church back on the narrow way

With a half crazed Mississippi squirrel.

Chorus (twice)

All God's Creatures Got a Place in the Choir

A Capella Key of G

G

All God's creatures got a place in the choir,

D G

Some sing low, some sing higher;

C G

Some sing loud on the telephone wire,

D G

Some just clap their hands, their paws or anything they got now!

All God's creatures got a place in the choir,

Some sing low, some sing higher;

Some sing loud on the telephone wire,

Some just clap their hands, their paws or anything they got now!

Listen to the top where the little birds singing,

All the melodies and the high notes swinging;

And the hoot owl cries over everything,

And the blackbird disagrees.

Singing in the night time singing in the day,

The little duck quacks and he's on his way;

The otter hasn't got much to say,

And the porcupine talks to himself.

Chorus

The dogs and cats they take up the middle,

Where the honey bee hums and the crickets fiddle,

The donkey brays and the pony neighs,

And the old gray badger sighs.

Listen to the bass it's the one on the bottom,

Where the bullfrog croaks and the hippopotamus

Moans and groans with a big to-too,

And the old cow just goes moo.

Chorus

It's a simple song of living sung everywhere,

By the ox and the fox and the grizzly bear,

Grumpy alligator and the hog above,

The sly old weasel and the turtle dove.

Chorus (2)

All God's creatures got a place in the choir

Come And Follow

Me and Andrew, we’ve been fishin’, the best part of the night

We’d caught nothin’ for all our tryin’, come the mornin’, and the light –

Then I saw HIM, out a little ways from the land, He started teachin’ all the people

And they listened there in silence on the sand.

Chorus

Come and follow, come and follow, come and follow, come and follow me.

Come and follow, come and follow, come and follow, come and follow me.

When He’d ended all His teaching, He turned around and spoke again to me

He said, “Simon, row out farther, drop your nets once again into the sea.”

I said, “Master, we’ve been workin’ since sundown yesterday

But one more time, I’ll throw them over just because it’s You who say.”

Chorus

Now James and John, they’re both my witness to the truth in what I’ve said.

How our nets were filled to bursting more than both our boats could ever hold.

And I fell down before Him cryin’, Leave me Lord, I’m full of sin.

He said, Simon, don’t be frightened, follow Me and you will learn to fish for men.

When You Say Nothing At All

Capo 3

D A G A

It's amazing how you can speak right to my heart

Without saying a word you can light up the dark

Try as I may I could never explain

What I hear when you don't say a thing

The smile on your face lets me know that you need me

There's a truth in your eyes sayin' you'll never leave me

The touch of your hand says you'll catch me if ever I fall

You say it best when you say nothing at all

All day long I can hear people talking out loud

But when you hold me near, you drown out the crowd

Old Mr. Webster could never define

What's being said between your heart and mine

The smile on your face lets me know that you need me

There's a truth in your eyes sayin' you'll never leave me

Unclouded Day

O they tell me of a home far beyond the skies,

O they tell me of a home far away;

O they tell me of a home where no storm clouds rise,

O they tell me of an unclouded day.

Refrain

O they tell me of that land far away,

Where the tree of life in eternal bloom

Sheds its fragrance through the unclouded day.

And they tell me that mine eyes shall behold

Where He sits on the throne that is whiter than snow,

In the city that is made of gold.

And His smile drives their sorrows all away;

And they tell me that no tears ever come again

Nothing But The Blood

A Cappella

What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus;

What can make me whole again? Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

Chorus

Oh! precious is the flow That makes me white as snow;

No other fount I know, Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

For my pardon, this I see, Nothing but the blood of Jesus;

For my cleansing this my plea, Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

Nothing can for sin atone, Nothing but the blood of Jesus;

Naught of good that I have done, Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

This is all my hope and peace, Nothing but the blood of Jesus;

This is all my righteousness, Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

Now by this I’ll overcome Nothing but the blood of Jesus;

Now by this I’ll reach my home Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

Glory! Glory! This I sing Nothing but the blood of Jesus,

All my praise for this I bring Nothing but the blood of Jesus
