The required amounts of hours are 36 fifty-minute periods which equals out to a total of 30 hours. One excused absence in class is allowed with a call from a parent/guardian; any other absence must be accompanied by a doctor’s note. If you miss more than 2 classes or (4 hours), it will cost an extra $10.00 per hour to get it made up. It will be scheduled after completion of the classroom.You must call ahead of time if you are going to be absent or late for behind the wheel. Before you sign up make sure you do not have any prior appointments or commitments. If you miss scheduled driving appointments without at least a 24-hour notice, it will cost $25.00 to make-up. It can be rescheduled as soon as the payment is made.All homework assignments must be done before class, not during. Copying the work of others will result in both students receiving a zero. You must have a 70-grade point average or better to pass. The drug and alcohol test along with the final exam carry the majority of your grade.During the class, as well as in the car, there will be no horse-play or loud talking. Respectful behavior is expected toward all other students as well as the instructor.There will be 5-10 minute breaks after every hour of class. Please stay around the designated area.The cost of the entire classroom and behind the wheel course will be $399.00. The cost of class only is $175.00. The cost of behind the wheel only is $289.00. You must pay at least ? of your money on the first day of class and the balance before the class is completed.A refund of all fees will be made, upon request, if Saker’s Driving School is not capable of or willing to begin instruction within 30 calendar days from the date agreed on this contract. Once you begin instruction you must finish within 60 days. If you lose your paper work you will have to start over and pay again. Classroom instruction starts promptly at ___ and ends at___.36 50-minute periods of classroom training, 7 50-minute driving periods, and 7 50-minute observation periods are required to obtain a driver’s license. The behind the wheel includes a minimum of 75 miles during training. If there is any question about whether class is being cancelled for any reason, the student should call 540-774-9223. There will be a recording on the machine.Your certificate will be your temporary license once you meet all of the requirements.Breaking of any of the stated rules or any other inappropriate behavior will lead to expulsion and payments will not be refunded.Students 18 years of age and under are required to complete a state- approved driver’s education program prior to receiving a driver’s license.Instruction provided does not guarantee that any student will pass a state license examination, that the students can secure a license, or that the student will be guaranteed employment upon the completion of the course.You must have a valid learner’s permit before receiving behind the wheel instruction and also turn in a photo copy of it .You must always bring your driving sheets with you to monitor your time and skill level. It will provide you and your parents with feedback as to what skills you need to be practicing.It is very important for you to practice your driving not only with us, but also with someone else, preferably your parent/ guardian. You will be required to drive interstate, downtown, and mountain areas, as well as adequately perpendicular and parallel parking.If you are dropped off somewhere other than home or school after a driving lesson, you must have a note signed by your parent/guardian stating where you have permission to go.It is the responsibility of the students, or in the case of a minor a parent/guardian, to report to the DMV any concerns regarding school facilities, instructor behavior, or quality of instruction provided by the school.DMV is committed to promoting transportation safety through the certification of quality driver training programs. Students 19 years and older are not required to take any form of driver’s education to secure a driver’s license; but if you so choose to, you will not be charged for the use of our vehicle for the DMV road test.Students are given a text book and a test booklet that is numbered and will be returned at the end of the class. If not returned there will be a fee.
