This document establishes expectations for both the sponsoring Consultant and the new Consultant.
For the prospective Consultant:
1. The sponsoring Consultant supplies and delivers the Curiosity Kit to the prospective Consultant. Its contents are at the discretion of the sponsoring Consultant. Suggested contents are:
• A professional looking binder or booklet to hold the materials to be presented to the prospective Consultant. It should contain a slot to hold the sponsoring Consultant’s business card.
A good selection is the Oxford ViewFolio Portfolio in white. For a discount purchase, see
Staples Office Supplies also carries these (if you can find them) in the USA in white #57444, in burgundy #57443, or in Canada in black #555092. But they are more expense at Staples.

These can be downloaded or purchased from the website or collected by the sponsoring Consultant when they opened orders/boxes from Arbonne. They can also be printed from the Image Source CD in the OpenNOW for Business pack. If possible, include a combination of NVPs and RVPs.

2. Deliver a free sample of product. Which product is delivered to the prospective Consultant is at the discretion of the sponsoring Consultant. The smaller-sized Hand Cream is an excellent choice and is priced attractively as a give away (catalogue #455).
3. Arbonne Presentations – Suggest that the prospect review either the Opportunity Presentation or the Arbonne = Results Presentation. These can be run by the prospect from the Arbonne home page. Canadian prospects should first flip Arbonne United States to Arbonne Canada in the top right corner of the home page. Press on The Company / Presentations / Opportunity or Results Presentation.
4. Arbonne Success Stories – Also suggest that the prospect review the Success Stories at the bottom right corner of the home page. They can sort by their current career, under the SEARCH FOR CONSULTANT field on the Success Stories page.
5. Additional Reading Material – These books are highly recommended to prospective Consultants to gain a deeper appreciation and understanding of Network Marketing. They can be purchased by the prospect or be lent by the sponsoring Consultant.

For the new Consultant:
6. Startnow Independent Consultant Application & Agreement form is signed. The sponsoring Consultant should supply the new Consultant with this form. This form is Arbonne Business Aid #2399 (USA), #9513 (Canada). A signed copy should be retained by both the new Consultant and the sponsoring Consultant.
NOTE: This form should also be collected and retained by the sponsoring Consultant for new Consultants that are only registering to achieve the 35% discount.
7. A copy of this document, Steps to Consultant Success, has been given to the new Consultant. The sponsoring Consultant also keeps a copy of this document in the name of each new Consultant business builder they sponsor. This allows both to track the step-by-step progression of the new Consultant as they begin the new business process.
8. Registration code generated by sponsoring Consultant for the new Consultant. This is done from the Arbonne Internet Consultants Home page. Press on; Generate a registration code under the topic, Consultant Registration Management. The unique registration code that is generated identifies the person and links them to their sponsoring Consultant. This registration code is only used for registering online and expires within 90 days.
9. Registration process completed and first order placed. The sponsoring Consultant should help the new Consultant through this process. The process is begun by pressing on, Online Consultant Registration from the main Arbonne home page. This is best performed in person on the new Consultant’s computer. If the new Consultant is not within personal reach and lives long distance, the sponsoring Consultant can assist the new Consultant via telephone.
There is a document in the “Helpful Files” titled, Placing My First Arbonne Order that can assist the new Consultant in understanding the benefits of purchasing at least $100 or at least $250 (in US) or $130 or at least $325 (in Canada) of Arbonne product during registration.
There is an additional document in the “Help Files” titled, Getting Started Purchase Options that can assist the new Business Builder with choosing a combination of products that fit their budget. The Business Builder option of that document should be strongly considered if the new Consultant is serious about building his/her business as quickly as is possible.
10. OpenNOW for Business pack purchased. This pack should be considered for purchased as soon as is possible by all new Consultants beginning a business with Arbonne. This pack is Arbonne Business Aid #9005 (US), #9515 (Canadian) and can be purchased at the time of registration. The cost is $79.95 (US) and $105.95 (Canadian). This is a significant saving from purchasing the items contained in the pack separately. If this pack can not be purchased at time of registration it should be purchases as soon as possible.
The sponsoring Consultant should show the new Consultant the contents of the pack and determine if its purchase is appropriate. The details of the pack’s contents can be found on page 5 of the StartNOW NEW CONSULTANT MANUAL. It contains every business aid the new Consultant will need (in multiples) for presenting the products and the opportunity. There are over 30 items, many of which are in packs of 10. The pack includes forms, brochures, audio and image CDs, planner, invitations, envelopes, catalogues, product knowledge workbook and audio CD set, retail bags, window cling and product sample packs.
The contents and cost of purchasing this OpenNOW for Business pack should be compared with the contents and cost of the options presented in the “Helpful Files” Getting Started Purchase Options document.
11. New Consultant has ordered business cards. This can be done from the Arbonne Internet Consultants home page. Press on BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING and then Online Business Tools. At the bottom of the window, press on Click here to order your personalized business-building tools now! Then press on Business Cards. Choose the style of card that represents your image. Note that some of the cards are two sided with the back side containing an Arbonne number for prospect to call to learn more about Arbonne's opportunity. Call the 732.463.6380, box 190 number to understand how this card could help generate new business.
12. Sponsoring Consultant has delivered to the new Consultant the book, Think and Grow Rich (the Revised and Updated for the 21st Century edition) by Napoleon Hill. Purchase at local book stores. Approximately $10.50 (US$) each.
13. Sponsoring Consultant has delivered to the new Consultant the book, Dare to Dream and Work to Win by Dr. Tom Barrett. Purchase from . $11.00 (US$) each in groups of 5 to 20.
14. Sponsoring Consultant has copied and delivered to the new Consultant the StartNOW Basic Consultant Training 4 CD set. These 4 CDs can be listened to over and over again by the new Consultant as he/she travels about in his/her car.
15. Sponsoring Consultant has reviewed all of the documents containing in the “Helpful Files” on Ken Streit’s Arbonne Website.
16. New Consultant has reviewed and become familiar with the pages of the Arbonne website. A thorough exploration of the website is expected.
17. New Consultant has listened and reviewed, at least twice, each of the following presentations from the Arbonne home page:
• The Opportunity Presentation
• The Arbonne = REsults Presentation
• The SuccessPlan Presentation
18. New Consultant completes the first training modules of Arbonne University. This includes:

19. New Consultant reads the first 3 chapters of Think and Grow Rich (thru page 67):

20. Sponsoring Consultant briefly reviews the NOW You’re in Business starter kit, once it is delivered, with the new Consultant. This includes the contents of the:
• StartNOW NEW CONSULTANT MANUAL
• StartNOW WORKBOOK
• SUCCESSPLAN AND POLICIES & PROCEDURES MANUAL
- Independent Consultant Code of Ethics
21. New Consultant reads and understands the content of the StartNOW NEW CONSULTANT MANUAL and the StartNOW WORKBOOK. This includes completing step two in the workbook - Determine Your Why.
22. New Consultant reads the first 5 chapters of Dare to Dream and Work to Win (thru page 83):
• Seeing Through the Fog
• Success: It's no Accident
• Inspired by Others
• Living in Entrepreneurial Time
• Reality Check for Financial Expectations
23. New Consultant listens to and completes the workbook that is part of the Product Knowledge Workbook and Audio CD set that was included in the OpenNOW for Business pack.
24. New Consultant completes the next training modules of Arbonne University. This includes:
• Basic Consultant Training
Prospecting – 19 ½ minutes
Scheduling – 16 ½ minutes
Sponsoring – 14 minutes
SuccessPlan Basics – 26 minutes
Goal Setting – 22 minutes
25. New Consultant completes step 3 in the StartNOW WORKBOOK - the list of 100 names.
26. New Consultant discusses his/her “WHY” with sponsoring Consultant. Together, they both convert the “WHY” into the new Consultant’s “I” story and practice how to convey it to new prospects.
27. Sponsoring Consultant assists new Consultant in writing down his/her personal needs and dreams. These needs and dreams are then translated into personal goals. Any obstacles to the attainment of these goals are clearly defined and strategies for managing these obstacles are also clearly defined.
Personal goals must be linked to a burning desire for their attainment. This state of mind is best supported through visualization. Therefore, practice and master the method by which desire can be transmuted into reality, found on page 22, of Think and Grow Rich.
28. New Consultant discusses prospecting and business strategies with sponsoring Consultant that will generate activity and success. New Consultant practices performing these prospecting strategies with sponsoring Consultant. This includes practicing either the Arbonne = Results Presentation or the Opportunity Presentation.
29. Sponsoring Consultant reviews the SUCCESSPLAN AND POLICIES & PROCEDURES MANUAL with the new Consultant in detail. The expectation is that the new Consultant has read the entire Policies and Procedures section. The expectation is that the new Consultant will understand and be able to reference the Successplan benefits and qualifications for each Arbonne level or rank. This includes an understanding of the commission percentages presented in the Successplan Summary at the bottom of page 7. It also includes the retail volume requirements necessary to maintain one’s level or rank and the use of Performance Accounts to protect one’s rank during a month when the retail volume requirement can not be met.
30. Sponsoring Consultant assists new consult in setting up office and establishing tracking system for:
• Prospects
• Orders
• Revenue & Expenses
- how to use the Revenue and Expense Spreadsheet from “Helpful Files.”
31. New Consultant begins using the list of 100 names to contact and schedule prospects.
32. The sponsoring Consultant assists the new Consultant with initial one-on-one or group presentations.
33. The sponsoring Consultant assists the new Consultant with reviewing and choosing additional Arbonne business aids and products that will assist with the growth and management of his/her Arbonne business.
34. New Consultant has subscribed to Networking Times magazine. This bi-monthly publication is an incredible resource that will assist network marketing professionals with their personal development. It can be purchased online from the Networking Times website. The cost for a year’s subscription is $47.77 (US), $52.77 (Canadian).
35. New Consultant has subscribed to the Arbonne Learn & Burn Program. Each month Arbonne ships a 3 CD set to Consultants. Topics covered are:
• Basic Consultant Training
• Stepping up to Management
• Leadership
• Personal Growth & Development
• Product Knowledge
This series is extremely important to an Arbonne Consultant’s consistent growth. Subscriptions are placed online from the Internet Consultants home page. The cost per month is $5.00 (US), $6.00 (Canadian).
All previous Arbonne Learn & Burn tracks are archived and can be listened to online. This is an excellent source of training material.
