PC System spec given:
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz AM3
HDD: Western Digital 80GB SATA 7400rpm
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 Socket AM3+
DVD: DVD RW
RAM: 4GB DDR3 1333MHz
VGA: Asus G210 1GB DDR3 VGA PCI-Express
What will work for the PC specs above such as OS?
The operating system above can run an operating system such as Windows 7 and any other version of windows that came before windows. It will not support windows 8 as it does not have the system specs required to run it.
Recommended minimum specs for windows 7:
• 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
• 1 gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
• 16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
• DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver
The pc specs listed above will be able to support Linux as well as the minimum requirements that are needed for Linux the specs up above listed will run the operating system with no problem.
Recommended specs for Linux:
• 700 MHz processor (about Intel Celeron or better)
• 512 MiB RAM (system memory)
• 5 GB of hard-drive space (or USB stick, memory card or external drive but see LiveCD for an alternative approach)
• VGA capable of 1024x768 screen resolution
• Either a CD/DVD drive or a USB port for the installer media
Games that can run on this system spec:
Minecraft will be able to run on because the minimum specs for the game a lower than the ones that where given up above so you will be able to play the full game and not have any problems being able to run it. This is also the same for the recommended specs.
The minimum specs for Minecraft:
• CPU: Intel Pentium D or AMD Athlon 64 (K8) 2.6 GHz.
• RAM: 2GB.
• GPU (Integrated): Intel HD Graphics or AMD (formerly ATI) Radeon HD Graphics with OpenGL 2.1.
• GPU (Discrete): Nvidia GeForce 9600 GT or AMD Radeon HD 2400 with OpenGL 3.1.
• HDD: At least 200MB for Game Core and Other Files.
• Java 6 Release 45.
The recommended specs for Minecraft:
• CPU: Intel Core i3 or AMD Athlon II (K10) 2.8 GHz
• RAM: 4GB
• GPU: GeForce 2xx Series or AMD Radeon HD 5xxx Series (Excluding Integrated Chipsets) with OpenGL 3.3
• HDD: 1GB
• Latest release of Java 7 from
Another game that can run of the system specs given is Batman Arkham Asylum because the minimum specs that are required are lower than the system specs given. The recommended specs for the game are also lower than the system specs we have been given because the game is able to run of hardwire that lower than the one we are using.
Minimum specs for Batman Arkham Asylum:
• CPU: Intel Pentium 4 3.0 GHz or AMD Athlon 64 3500+
• CPU Speed: 3.0 GHz
• RAM: XP = 1 GB, Vista = 2GB
• OS: Windows XP & Vista
• Video Card: 128 MB 3D Graphics card (NVIDIA GeForce 6600 or ATI Radeon X1300 or better)
• Free Disk Space: 9 GB
Recommended specs for Batman Arkham Asylum:
• CPU: Core 2 Duo E6600 (2.4 GHz) or AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+
• RAM: XP = 2 GB, Vista = 3 GB
• OS: Windows XP & Vista
• Video Card: 512 MB 3D Graphics card (NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GT or better)
• Free Disk Space: 9 GB
The motherboard Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 Socket AM3+:
What ram is compatible with it:
It can support RAM of up to 4x DDR3 memory up to 32GB.
Examples of RAM that it can support:
• Corsair 4GB DDR3 1600Mhz Vengeance Memory
• Crucial 8GB DDR3 1600Mhz Ballistix Sport Memory
• Kingston 4GB DDR3 1600MHz Memory
What CPU is compatible with the motherboard:
The CPU the motherboard can support is the following:
It can only support AMD and no other type of processors because it can only run AMD because with other processors such as Intel the motherboard will not support it in any way.
Examples of processors it supports:
• AM3+ Socket
• AMD AM3+ processor
• AMD AM3 Phenom II processor / AMD Athlon II processor
What graphics card is compatible with the motherboard?
The motherboard will be compatible with any graphics card mainly AMD graphics cards that are DDR3 because of the type of motherboard that it is.
Examples of Graphic cards that it supports:
• Sapphire HD 5450 1GB DDR3 Dual DVI-I PCI-E Graphics Card
• Asus HD 5450 1GB DDR3 VGA DVI HDMI PCI-E Graphics Card
• Sapphire R7 240 2GB DDR3 VGA DVI HDMI PCI-E Graphics Card

Why have I chosen each component for each system?
System A:
For system A I decided to use the following components listed above for because each of the component that is in each system supports AMD for the graphics card as well as the motherboard because system A is running of AMD not intel so it is perfect for it considering it is AMD.
The other components I picked for System A where supported by the motherboard because all of components are mainly being used for a gaming PC so the parts where perfect for the job as well as the Hard drive because when downloading games does take up a lot of space.
System B:
For system B I decided to use the following components above because a lot of the parts are supported by Intel that the other parts on the other system could use because they were supported by AMD because system B is only running on Intel.
The other components that I picked for system B where could have been supported by both but I put it in this system because the parts are not as powerfully as the other part are which are supported for system A then system B because the motherboard will only support the parts that are listed for System B.
