You can use this tool to:add listings to the site that were omitted from your data feed, need to be added to the site immediately, or are part of your daily upload process to Legacyedit notices that have been submitted to us for online publication and are currently appearing on your site, including listings for the following daydelete notices that need to be removedPlease note: This tool cannot be used to edit or remove Guest Book entries. For these requests, please contact NewspaperSupport@ or direct users to contact us at Info@. Adding a Notice1. Log in to your Affiliate Admin page, [YourSitename]/admin/login.aspx. Please contact NewspaperSupport@ if you need login or page information.2. On the “Add a New Notice” form, enter all applicable information. The required fields appear in red. Detailed information on individual fields, including NOTICE TYPE, is below in the “Form Fields Information” section.3. Click the “Preview” button to review the information submitted; the Preview page will show you the obituary as it will appear online.4. To edit the notice, click the “Edit” button. To submit the notice for online publication, click “Submit.”5. If you are unsatisfied with the notice’s appearance after you’ve clicked “Submit,” you may click “Edit” to return to the “Add/Edit Notice” page to make changes to the listing.Editing a Notice1. Note that this page may take several seconds to load. You will see the text “Update in Progress” appear while the page is loading. 3. Once this page loads, you will see several options for locating the obituary you wish to edit. Choose from the following options: See today’s noticesSee yesterday’s noticesSee tomorrow’s noticesSee notices from the last 2 weeksSearch by Affiliate Ad ID (The ad ID used within your system, if you submit this information to us and we are storing it in our database.)Search by Legacy ID (The Legacy Person ID, or pid, can be found at the end of the URL string in your web address bar when you are on an individual notice page. For example: )4. Once you have selected the name from the list of notices or have entered an ID in either of the “Search by” fields, the notice will populate the form. 5. Make the desired changes to the notice. (Note that you have the ability to edit all fields with this form. Please see detailed information on these fields below.)Deleting a NoticeAfter finding the notice using the “Edit an Existing Notice” function, you can delete the selected notice by clicking on the “Delete” button at the bottom of the page. (Note that deleting a paid listing also deletes the Guest Book attached to the notice. Please use this feature cautiously.)General Notes on notice changesIt may take up to 20 minutes for your changes and additions to appear in the Recent Obituaries/Death Notices section of your co-branded page.Once you are finished, you can click on “Return to Obituary Portal” to return to your co-branded death notices page.For optimal appearance, please try to submit the top photos at or close to a 1.15 aspect ratio, with a height x width greater than or equal to 86 x 76 pixels. Photos outside of this range will still be resized so that distortion does not occur.If you have any questions or need further assistance, please contact NewspaperSupport@.Form Fields InformationAffiliate IDThis field is not required, but you may include your ad id when adding a new notice, if one is available. NameThe names entered in these fields correspond to the name that appears in the heading above the listing as well as how the name is stored in our database.Only First Name and Last Name are required.Names are displayed in the following order: Prefix | FirstName | MiddleName | Nickname | MaidenName | LastName | SuffixText in the Nickname field will be displayed with quotation marks. Text in the Maiden Name field will be displayed with parentheses.State/ProvinceThis field is required and will default to your state or province.Funeral Home Reference (Optional)Please select the funeral home that is handling the services for the family; a link to an information page (example) will appear next to the obituary. If you would like to add a funeral home in your area to this list, please contact funeralhomes@. Start Date/End DateThese typically correspond to the dates the listing appears in print and determine how long the notice appears in the list of “Recent Obituaries/Death Notices”. The default dates are set so the notice will appear in your daily listings for one day, but the notice will remain online and will be searchable as long as your obituaries remain active (at least 30 days).If you would like to change the default start or end dates, please contact Newspapersupport@. Notice TypeThere are two choices for notice type--Regular and Featured.Regular notices are for day-to-day obituaries, death notices, and memoriams. Guest Books are included with Paid and Memoriam notices.Notices designated as Featured are for prominent local or national figures. They are free of charge, automatically include a Guest Book, which will remain online permanently, and are designed for use in your online news coverage of the story. If you would like more information about featured Guest Books, please contact NewspaperSupport@.Payment CodeIf you are submitting a Regular notice, please select the appropriate category (Paid, Free, or Memoriam), so we can store and display this information properly. Guest Books are included with Paid and Memoriam notices.“Show in Spotlight?”The left-hand rail of your cobranded obituary page is your “Spotlight.” There is a collapsible “Local Spotlight” that appears when manually populated with content.? Typically, this space highlights a newsworthy obituary or someone of local prominence.? When no content is provided for this area, it collapses and disappears from the page.When you choose the Featured notice type, or select the Paid or Memoriam payment code for the Regular notices type, a check box reading, “Show in Spotlight?” appears.To include a notice in your spotlight, simply check the “Show in Spotlight” box on the notice in your affiliate admin.? Please note that any notice manually added will remain in this spot until manually removed, or displaced by newer, manually added notices.?Notice textHTML coding, using simple tags, can be used to format text in this area. For example:Bolding: If you would like a portion of text to appear in bold type, include <b> at the beginning of the text and </b> at the end. An example would be: “This is an <b>exciting</b> opportunity.” will display online as “This is an exciting opportunity.”Please click on the “HTML Tags” link for further information and examples. Note that line breaks are also possible by using the “Enter” key on your keyboard.Send Guest Book linkIf you would like to send an email with a link to the obituary and Guest Book that you are adding to an internal contact, you can do so by entering a valid email address in this field. This field is not intended to send the link to customers.PhotoWhen adding a new notice, you can add up to four images: two images can appear at the top of the notice, and two at the bottom. When editing a notice, you can add up to two images: one at the top, and one at the bottom.Once uploaded, the photo will be automatically sized to fit the page. Once you have uploaded a photo, you can remove it by clicking “Delete” next to the image, or you can swap in a different photo by clicking on “Upload new photo”.The following image file formats are supported: JPG, GIF, PNG, BMP, TIFF.Please limit photo file sizes to 300 KB.Removing an image referenceYou can remove an image reference by deleting it from the “Notice Text” field.? The image reference begins and ends with a caret (“<” and “>”).? Be sure to highlight and delete the ENTIRE reference, including both carets.? Click the preview button.View the preview to confirm the notice looks correct.If the preview is correct, click submit. ................
