A SPINNER IS A GREAT TOOL FOR ENSURING STUDENT PARTICIPATION!

Use the spinner templates below to actively involve students in your lessons. Create one per team or table. It will assist in randomly selecting students to:

o read or answer questions o respond to prompts o perform classroom jobs or duties o work in cooperative teams o lead a project o review for quiz/test

Spinner sections may be labeled with numbers, letters, colors, words, group assignments, or any other ideas that involve random choices.

Spinners may be laminated for use throughout the school year.

Directions: Cut out circle and spinner out of cardboard or card stock. Write something different on each segment of the circle. Attach a brad through the spinner and the center of the circle and fasten. Flick the spinner to make sure it turns.
